Operation instruction about using HyperTerminal tool to change MTK GPS setting

(O.S : WinXP) 1. Please execute HyperTerminal tool to open a window , for example : “Test “

window, please choose “File” “Properties “

5. Please use “notepad “to edit your GPS command, for example $PMTK314,0,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0*29<CR><LF>

The command will only show “$GPRMC” item of NMEA. Please notice that you

don’t need to type the string “<CR>” and <LF>”, just need to press “Enter” as packet end. The “<CR>” and”<LF” are used to identify the end of a packet. We save the file as “b.txt”.

6. Please choose “Transfer “ ”Send Text File “, the pop up window will request the file you want to transfer to GPS device.
