FRESH WATER TREATMENT

OUR CITY’S FRESH WATER SOURCES:

‘WELLS AND LAKES’

First the well water and lake water mix and than alimünyumsülfat (Al₂(SO₄)₃) is added to the water for the limpidity of water.

In these photos we filter other substences by the thick sand.

ADDING CHLORINE TO THE FILTERED WATER

In these rooms we add chlorine to the water.

MANEUVERING ROOM

These are the pumps.We pump the water to the water depots on high points of the city.

Bacterias eat the small substances and settles down with them.

By the help of this system the decomposed mud we have; Is collected in containers and used in agriculture as a fertilizer.

The waste water becomes the water that can be used in agriculture.

A GREENHOUSE HEATED BY THERMAL WATER

In cold winter days while the outer temperature is -20⁰C,the inside of the greenhouse can be heated to 15⁰C by the thermal water.

50 tons of tomatoes can be grown in a year.

Bees are used to carry the pollens.

The plants can reach to 7 meters high.

Also the thermal water is used in our homes for heating and need of hot water.The people pay nearly 50 Euro(100 Turkish Liras) per month,quite reasinoble in Turkey.

THE IRRIGATION IN AGRICULTURE

THE MAIN WATER SOURCE OF YOZGAT AGRICULTURE IS:

“GELINGULLU IRRIGATION LAKE”

20.474 hectars of field is ırrıgated by this lake. The capacıty of the lake is 1.362.000 m3

Wheat as you know grows in a dry,mild climate.Yozgat is such a place that you can grow wheat.

SUGAR BEET

Another plant we grow in Yozgat is sugar beet.As you know it is an industrial plant.It needs a lot of water.

BARLEY

Barley is one of the dried beans.It is used for producing some drinks and some food.

This is the most commonly used system in irrigating the fields in Yozgat.
