Opening Prayer

Acts 4:32-3732 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed

Text: Acts 4:32-37Thesis: When you become an encourager like Barnabas, you are a valued asset to the kingdom of God.

Encourage = to call to ones side

When did you last encourage someone else?

Who did you encourage?

How did you encourage them?

The heart of an encourager:1. Is a giver to the greater cause, Acts

4:32-37. 2. Is inclusive of those who are on the outside looking in, Acts

9:26-31.3. Rejoices when God’s grace saves sinners, Acts

11:19-30. 4. Is a partner in success, failure, in faith, Acts 13

& 14. 5. Finds a way to lift the fainthearted, Acts

15:36-41.

The faith of Barnabas is not mentioned, it is illustrated.

Verbal encouragement doesn’t go far enough.
