Welcome to The World Champions Rodeo Alliance- The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) is a professional sport and entertainment entity, created to develop and advance the sport of rodeo by aligning all levels of competition. In association with PBR, WCRA produces major rodeo events, developing additional opportunities for rodeo industry competitors, stakeholders and fans. The WCRA will host a timed events semi-final in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the legendary Lazy E arena, January 7-9 and a rough stock semi-finals Feb 1 at the Lewis Field Bulls and Bronc event in Salt Lake, City.

The two semi-finals events combined will award a guaranteed purse of $500,000. The top eight athletes in each discipline from the tow semi-finals events will earn a spot at the one-day $1,000,000 Royal City Roundup Major Rodeo in Kansas City on February 28.

Contestants in nine disciplines— bareback riding, women’s breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping ( heading and heeling ) tie down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding, will compete for their piece of the $1,050,000 purse at the Royal City Roundup. Athletes in each discipline will compete for more than $111,000 with the champions walking away with a minimum $50,000 each.

The deadline for nominations to qualify and earn points is December 1 at 11:59 PM, CT.

WCRA ALIGNED EVENTS PROVIDE

THEIR ATHLETES THE OPPORTUNITY

TO COMPETE FOR

MILLIONS IN INCREMENTAL

PRIZE MONEY.WHY ALIGN?There is no cost to you as a promoter/producer to align with the WCRA. Athlete’s benefit by nominating your events by earning consolation points and possibly the opportunity to compete for MILLIONS.

THE PROCESS:

1. Contact the WCRA to request an alliance partnership form

2. Complete form and return

3. Start promoting partner-ship to your athletes with a packet provided by WCRA

4. Deliver event results to WCRA

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

WCRA will make alliances available to all existing rodeo or stand-alone event while working with any existing format, rules or reasonable competition structure.

The WCRA alignment can co-exist with any other sanctioning organization and does not require events to choose between sanctioning organizations.

ALLIANCE BENEFIT:Your event will create more opportunities for your contestants. Those who nomoinate will receive Nomination Consolation Points. For organizers who align with WCRA, nomination consolation points will be available for athletes at aligned events. We will use final results from your event to award points toward qualification for upcoming WCRA events.
