Silje Bareksten bio

Silje Bareksten is Nor-Shipping’s first ever Head of Sustainability and Technology.

Silje joined the team in 2018 with an ambition to leverage her expertise in digital technology and green innovation to help our customers release the huge opportunities for sustainable business activity within the ocean space.

Prior to her existing role she was Head of Smart City in Oslo, where she created the first smart city accelerator and helped position the Norwegian capital as a smarter, greener, more inclusive and creative place to live and do business. She has also worked as Innovation Manager for Inven2 and boasts experience from CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, alongside the International Space University (ISU).

Silje’s responsibilities include leading Nor-Shipping’s Blue Economy hall and championing our green and digital initiatives.

Per Martin bio

Nor-Shipping Director Per Martin Tanggaard is committed to helping the maritime industry access new business opportunities in the ocean space.

A part of the team since 2015, Per Martin assumed his current role in 2018 and has since driven Nor-Shipping’s evolution; increasing the focus on innovation, sustainability and the ocean industries. He is also a supporter of increased diversity in maritime and was Norway’s first male member of WISTA (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association).

Per Martin has extensive experience of the shipping and offshore segments, having previously worked for Wartsila Ship Design and Lorentzen & Stemoco.
