The WFP has 5 main objectives:Save lives and protect livelihoods in
emergenciesPrepare for emergencies
Restore and rebuild lives after emergencies
Reduce chronic hunger and under nutrition everywhere
Strengthen the capacity of countries to reduce hunger.
More than 25,000 people die of hunger everyday, 14,000 of them are
children.
With just 25 cents you can provide a full meal of porridge, beans, or rice
to a child in need.
WFP’s goal this year is to feed 97 million people in over 70 countries.
But they can’t do it alone...
Another way you can help is by going to www.FreeRice.com and for every question that you answer right you
are giving 10 grams of rice to someone in need.
