This book continues and expands the authors' education and research on second language acquisition by making a viable connection between what is commonly heard/spoken in Chinese and what can be accurately presented in authentic English. The authors identify around 500 common phrases in oral Chinese and translate them into English, supplying example sentences to illustrate the usage in context. This book in a sense serves as a prototype for Dr. Yongan Wu's future research as he plans to write a book addressing the issue of how to express oneself in good Chinese for non-native speakers.
