The Herb Amster Center is a new division of Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County responsible for the development and implementation of revenue-
producing programs and services, consistent with JFS’mission and reflective of Herb’s legacy.

The Herb Amster Center will continue a tradition of excellence at JFS through innovation and entrepreneurship
� JFS was established 18 years ago with a total budget of $11,500
� Today has $1.1 million operating budget
� Serves 2,500 clients/year, providing more than 30,000 hours of direct service with 18.5 staff FTE
� Serves the entire community through a
comprehensive and holistic approach
The Herb Amster Center will be built on the high standards of JFS’ CARF Accreditation
� CARF (Council on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities)—Gold Seal of Approval
� JFS Received 3-year CARF accreditation - maximum term that can be awarded
� Allows JFS to bill for third-party reimbursement (Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, other major insurance companies)
