What is your gender?• The result shown that 73% of 10 were female and 27% of 10 were male.

This is very insightful in the fact it shows the majority of people asked were women and a lower matter were men. Suggesting we should have made the questionnaire more even throughout the genders.

What is your preferred genre?Out of the options we listed, whilst providing the option to choose a genre not provided by us, a massive 78% chose their preferred genre to be political, in the form of a documentary.

Crime was the only other option chose by the 22%.

75% of the people we asked were of the ages 18-24.This compares to 25% of the people being between the ages 25-34.

From this act it is evident the target audience of our documentary will range between the late teen ages.

Which institution broadcasts your preferred documentary style?

This question provided a clearer divide in which institution was more favourable to our audience. However, with 50% channel 4 was the most popular, suggesting that our documentary should follow similar brad values tot hat of channel 4

How many times on average do you watch TV per week?

• The most popular answer for this question was 7-9 times per week, which had 64% of votes. This is quite a large amount of times to sit and watch TV for weekly, which suggests our documentary would have more viewers in our target audience watching if it were broadcast on television.

• The option of 0 times had 0% of votes.• The option of 10+ times had 6% of votes• The option of 1-3 times ad 30% of votes.

Which do you feel is the most targeted age demographic?

From the questionnaire results, the audience feel the most targeted age demographic is the ages between 18-25. 50% of the audience chose 18-25Whereas there was an equal 25% split between the ages of 26-34 (middle aged) and 55-69.

The vast majority of people I asked in my questionnaire watch documentaries on the television, with 78% stating this.To oppose this 22% watch using their laptop or PC device.0% use smartphonesAnd 0% use devices such as Ipads.

• 84% of the audience state that they watch TV in the evening time.• 12% of the audience state that they watch TV in the afternoon.• With 0% stating they watch TV in the morning or at night time.• This suggests that we should plan our documentary to air around evening time to

address our target audience preferences.

The majority of the audience, 79% chose they prefer a documentary to be at least an hour long.21% chose they like it to be around 45 minutes.This suggests our documentary should be between 45 minutes to half an hour long.

• 80% of the individuals asked said they enjoy watching documentaries.• 20% said not often.• This shows the majority do enjoy documentaries and even if some don’t watch

often, they still watch on occasion.
