The quote from a well-known newspaper impresses the audience and makes them think that it is a successful and popular album, and therefore makes them want to buy it.

The font is consistent throughout the advert, which makes it recognisable. This means that audiences will recognise this particular font and associate with this artist, and therefore will be more likely to remember the artist.

The artists’ name ‘Lana Del Rey’ and the title of the album ‘Video Games’ are the biggest pieces of font on the advert, which make them stand out and catch the eyes of audiences

The five stars are clear and eye-catching even though they are at the bottom of the advert. These 5 stars impress the audience and attract them to buying the album because they know that it is a good album.

The quote ‘Breathtaking’ from a popular and well-known music magazine makes the audience intrigued and makes them want to buy it because they know a reliable magazine which focuses solely on music, likes the album

The advert includes several different ways of accessing the album, like social media networks like twitter, as well as itunes. This is a very clever thing to include on the advert because target audiences for this album will most likely be younger, and will use social media sites daily. The release date is also included.

Digipak

The lyrics to one of the artists’ songs is clearly presented on the digipak. This is to highlight that this is one of her most popular songs.

The title of the album is ‘Video Games’, one the artists’ most popular songs.

Large eyelashes are used again, just like in the music video, in order to stay consistent with costuming

This front cover is very eye-catching. The use of the bright colour red for the rose grabs the audiences’ attention, as well as the white glow used on the album title.

The artists’ name is clearly visible, and the font is consistent with the rest of the digipak, as well as the magazine advert

An eye-catching button is also used to show all the popular songs included on the album to encourage people to buy it.

The bright red hair stands out from the rest of the cover and grabs audiences attention. The cartoon-like effect makes the whole cover original and unique, and most importantly memorable.

The black dress from the music video is used again for this cover, highlighting the consistency and suggesting a star image.

DigipakThis is a simple but consistent and unique CD. The same font is used for the text, as well as shadows around them created to grab attention from audiences.

The image on the actual CD is a rose, which is consistent with the rest of the digipak. This also suggests it is being used as a piece of iconography for the artist.

The background pattern is again of little roses, which emphasises how important this is in recognising the artist.

When looking closely, once again you will see that the background has roses in it. This adds a unique effect and will stand out from other digipaks, because this attention to detail makes the cover that much better and more interesting.

The image of the artist has once again been edited, making it seem cartoon-like or almost like a painting. This makes it very recognisable as being this artists’ work.

DigipakThe title of the album is again included on this cover, highlighting a clear consistency throughout all this students’ print work.

The theme of roses is again included in this cover, but is much clearer on this cover as it is not hidden in the background. The red of the roses is very bright which highlights its importance.

This student has made an interesting decision to name ‘CD 1’ and ‘CD 2’ as ‘Level 1’ and ‘Level 2’ which makes it much more intriguing and unique. Presenting these pieces of text diagonally also makes it more unique and appealing.
