Multi-Year Action Plan for 2015-16 is week concludes the overview of the district Multi-Year Action Plan (see attached). We hope you now have a deeper understanding of the district’s goals and plans for the future. Fiscal Responsibility e district goal is to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and effectively utilize our facilities and resources. In the 2015-16 school year, we will implement an efficiency plan of district facilities based on information received from audits. In addition, we are examining transportation, custodial and print services and looking for ways to makes those more efficient and cost-effective. We will also evaluate the facilities usage fee structure and look for ways to improve that process. We will implement long range capital outlay and facilities maintenance plans, refine our implementation of electronic systems for effective district operations, and finalize a technology strategic plan. Finally, we will investigate and select a human resource management system. Communication e district goal for communication is to communicate purposefully and in a timely manner. Success will be evident from data and feedback from stakeholder groups. In 2015 and 2016, we will begin to implement recommendations based on the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Communication Audit. We will form Marketing Communication Committee to develop a marketing plan for the district and we will continue to enhance the website and social communications based on feedback. Introducing Employee Portal We are excited to announce our transition to an online website for you to access your payroll information and request various payroll changes. e website, called Employee Portal, will be launched in conjunction with the March 15, payroll. Personalized letters are being distributed this week to all employees. is letter contains instructions for setting up your account on the Employee Portal, watch for your letter this week! e new Employee Portal will allow you to see your payroll checks and W-2s from 2011 to current and current benefits and deductions. Another feature of the Employee Portal is the option to make requests to change address and/or phone number, dependents, emergency contacts, direct deposit information and Federal and State withholding exemptions. Starting with the March 15, payroll you will be able to access your paystub online. With the availability of the Employee Portal, we will no longer issue paper paystubs aſter the April 15, payroll. You will be required to access them through the Employee Portal. If you have any questions you may contact the business office at 316-218-4660 or email Sherame at [email protected]. Student Transfer Form on Website e 2015-16 student transfer request form is now available on the website. It can be found under the “Parents” section. Remember, the application must be submitted annually! If your children are on a special transfer, you must complete the form again, even if your children are not switching buildings. BOE Outstanding Service Awards e online nomination form will be open from March 11-27, 2015. e purpose of the Board of Education Outstanding Service Awards is to recognize individual employees and volunteers for their excellence. Applications will only be accepted through the online form. e link to apply will be shared March 11. Mark your calendars for the awards ceremony, which will take place May 4 at Andover Middle School at 7 p.m. March 13 Professional Learning Day Locations Friday’s Professional Learning Day will focus on the Andover Instructional Framework and “Putting It All Together.” Our intent is to help review where we’ve been, celebrate our successes from this year, and begin to set the stage for next year. To help us plan the specifics of next year’s action plan, educators will provide input for what next year should look like for their learning.
