COMPANY PROFILE
Aastha Kidney and General Hospital is the dream of Sonia Sandeep Chauhan to
establish a complete Kidney Care Center in North Rajasthan and South Punjab.
The center of excellence in quality health care, Aastha Kidney and General
Hospital commenced its services nearly a decade ago, and gained
overwhelming public confidence in offering individualized and holistic care to
patients, particularly suffering from Kidney and Urological disorders.
With a team of specialists headed by Dr. Sandeep Chauhan, DM Nephrology,
AKGH was incepted with a mission to cure patients of life-risking and hazardous
Kidney related diseases and make India a healthier place to live in. The passion
to do something BIG and actualize this dream of a disease-free nation inculcated
the seed of Aastha Kidney and General Hospital (AKGH) on 29th July 2001.
Since then, people's trust has taken AKGH from strength-to-strength and
transformed it into a state-of-the-art, fully-equipped 50-beded hospital.

RESEARCH
METHODOLOGY
Meaning of Research:
Research is simply the process of finding solutions to a problem after thorough
study and analysis of the situational factors. Research is a careful critical inquiry
in seeking facts and diligent investigation in order to ascertain something. For
formulation a significant research problem, the researcher should try to acquire
as much knowledge, of the area in which research is to be done, as possible.
The researcher must be fully aware of the environment to which the difficulty
pertains.
It refers to the method adopted to collect the relevant data and other information
which forms the basis of the research writing. So, for the effective writing of the
thesis report, the data must be quality oriented.
Research design:-A framework or plan for a study guides the collection and analysis of the data. It
is the controlling plan for a marketing research study in which the methods and
procedures for collecting and analyzing the information to be collected is
specified.
Type of Research:-
The proposed research is exploratory in nature.
8
Universe of Research:-
Universe for proposed research includes the people who ever got a treatment at
this hospital who have access to internet and the people working at the hospital.
9
SAMPLING METHODS
USED
Sample Size:-
From the large number of population of Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat and some
parts of Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, the researcher will be selecting
true samples of the patients who have access to internet and are literate
enough to understand the information given at the website.
Sampling Units:-
Sampling units will be selected from the literate population of the areas
specified above.
Sampling Method:-
Random sampling Method adopted for the purpose of proposed research.

METHODS OF DATA
COLLECTION :
Data Types and Sources
Data collection
A Datum is what is observed, is manifest. Two major sources of data Collection
are:
(a) Primary sources (b) Secondary Sources
Primary Sources:-
The Primary data was collected by interviewing the doctors and other people
working at the hospital and the existing patients.
Secondary Sources:-
Before going through the time and expense of collecting primary data, one
should cheek for secondary data that previously may have been collected for
other purpose but that can be used in the immediate study. Secondary data
may be internal to the hospital, such as emergency cases, referrals and first
time patients, or may be external to the firm such as published data or
commercially available data. The government census is a valuable source of
secondary data.
11
Secondary data has the advantage of saving time and reducing data gathering
costs. The disadvantages are that the data may not fit the problem perfectly and
that the accuracy may be more difficult to verify for secondary data than for
primary data.
Some secondary data is republished by organizations other than the original
source. Because errors can occur and important explanations may be missing
in republished data, one should obtain secondary data directly from its source.
One also should consider who the source is and whether the results may be
biased.
12
DATA ANALYSIS
Limitations:
The study is restricted to a few states i.e., Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana,
Gujrat, Himachal Pradesh and a few other northern states. Thus, the
results may not be generalized to the nation.
Convincing the patients to squeeze out the time to answer the questions
was difficult.
Response of customers could be biased.
13
DESIGN OF THE STUDY
a) Primary & Secondary data collection
b) Analysis of Primary data
c) Data collection through questionnaire method
d) Analysis of primary data
e) Prepare the final report
