ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES
The following energy conservat ion measures would be adopted in the
proposed hotel project.
Solar water heating system for the hot water requirement.
Use of LED l ights in place of convention light ing system.
Water cooled chil lers in place of air cooled chil lers which are energy
intensive & the treated water available from STP would be used as make-
up water attached to the water cooled chil lers.
1. Solar water heating system for hotel project
Hot water requirement = 2,500 ltrs.
No. of solar panels = 25 nos.
 Electricity saving = 25 x 1,500 units / annum
= 13687.5 MWh/annum
2. LED lights in place of convention lighting system.

5. Further, the following additional measures will reduce heat gain to
the building, thereby there is reduction in electricity consumption.
Use of double / trip le glass to reduce heat gain to the building.
Use of terrace garden to reduce heat gain to the building.
Total energy saving is expected to be of about 31.33%
