Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:13-16)

VOTERS’ MEETING Zion will hold a Voter’s Meeting on Palm Sunday, March 20th @ 9:30. Agenda items include selection of calling a new school Principal, filling open Board of Trustees Member-at-Large position, and several changes to the current By-Laws. Please plan to attend. Board Candidates Needed The Board of Trustees is seeking to fill one of the Member-at-Large positions, recently vacated by Maynardo Eugenio who has other pressing commitments. Please consider serving in this important post. PRE-EASTER WORK/PLAY DAY Join your friends & fellows for the garden / church “spruce-up “on Saturday, March 26th. Breakfast starts at 9:00 am. Activities include decorating / deep cleaning of the Parish Hall, Sanctuary & grounds. Bring supplies & your tools please. Plan on a morning that will make you proud of Zion come Easter Day! EASTER BRUNCH Tickets for Zion’s Easter Brunch will be available for purchase beginning today February 28th, during Sunday Coffee Hours. Join us for our annual Easter Brunch on Sunday, March 27th, 9:30 am, in Zion’s Parish Hall. $5 for an adult; $2 for children ages 5-17; children under 4 eat free.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 HEALTH TIP OF THE WEEK          If you take chewable vitamin C tablets because you have trouble swallowing pills, make sure you brush your teeth afterwards-or at least rinse out your mouth. A study found that 500 mg of chewable C can make your mouth acidic enough to start dissolving tooth enamel.

                                                                                                              SUNDAY MORNING ACOLYTES Is your child, in 4th grade or above, interested in being an acolyte on Sunday mornings during our 8:00 am or 11:00 am worship services? If so, we would love to have them participate in our acolyte program. Your child will acolyte no more than once a month. We schedule acolytes every 3 months, based on what dates your child is available. FOOD BARREL DONATIONS Please continue to donate non-perishable food items (no glass, please) in the green food barrels in the school lobby. Zion’s food donations will be used to stock the food pantries at Christ for All Nations & Shepherd of the Hills-New Life Lutheran Churches.
