ONE BOOK + ONE DIOCESE This fall the Evangelization Office is recommending Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance by Neal Lozano an excellent read for continued spiritual growth with tools drawn from the Gospels and his years of experience in deliverance ministry. This book has already helped many in the diocese to overcome spiritual battles, sins, and anxieties. For more information about the book as well as the Unbound Ministry in our diocese, go to www.lincolndiocese.org/evangelization-formation/unbound- ministry. For groups interested in using this as a study, book study leaders can be recommended. Contact Matt Simmons at [email protected]. ALL SOUL’S DAY - All Souls Day is a solemn feast in the Roman Catholic Church commemorating all of those who have died and now are in Purgatory, being cleansed of their venial sins and the temporal punishments for the mortal sins that they had confessed and are atoning before entering fully into Heaven. If you would like your loved ones remembered on All Soul’s Day, please place their names on the All Soul’s Day envelope mailed in your packet or on one of the envelopes in the back of church and turn in before All Soul’s Day. If you would like separate Masses said for those listed on your envelope, you may include Mass stipends in that envelope. The regular Mass stipend in our Diocese is $10. ANNOUNCEMENTS Tekakwitha Games (Camp Kateri) Join us for Catholic fellowship and fun at the Tekakwitha Games, a family event for ages 10 & up. It will be held at Camp Kateri on Sunday, Oct. 23rd (1-5 pm). Three teams will compete in a series of events and challenges to win the St. Kateri Cup. The cost is $10 per person, with each participant receiving a free team T- shirt. Register at www.tekakwithagames.org. For more information, email [email protected] or call 402-319-3289 The experience of the Church and the saints demonstrates a general law: what comes from the Spirit of God brings with it joy, peace, tranquility of spirit, gentleness, simplicity, and light. On the other hand, what comes from the spirit of evil brings sadness, trouble, agitation, worry, confusion, and darkness. These marks of the good and the evil spirit are unmistakable signs in themselves. - Fr. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING will be held Monday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Come experience the Mission at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings, NE, on

DIVINE MERCY and DIVINE WILL The Great Signs of Our

Times, presented by Fr. Robert Young, OFM.

Mission will begin at Weekend Masses, Sat. 15th Oct. at 5 p.m.

and Sunday, 16th Oct. at 7 a.m., 9.a.m. or 11 a.m. It will continue

Monday, Oct. 17 thru Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. each evening.

Fr. Robert Young is a Franciscan Priest (OFM) who has been

studying and sharing the Gift of the Divine Will for almost 20

years. He is the host of a radio program on the international

Catholic network of Radio Maria called, “The Will of God in

the Life and Writings of Luisa Piccarreta.” Fr. Robert has also

been commissioned by Pope Francis as a “Missionary of

Mercy” for the Jubilee of Mercy this year.

It is time again for the Annual Diaper Drive!! Please help us to collect diapers for newborn and older

babies to be taken to the Crisis Centers in Hastings

and McCook, Diaper Heaven in Lincoln, and Catholic

Social Services. All sizes of diapers/Pull-ups are greatly

appreciated!!

St. Ann’s will be competing with other parishes within the

Hastings Deanery. Please show your support. The babies your

donations help say “Thank you!”

as we pray through the intercession of St. Monica for our

loved ones to be restored to Christ and His Church.
