Session III I Am Here, Now What Do I Do?As an APP new to GI, it is important to have working knowledge of both an inpatient and outpatient workday - from proper coding of a patient visit for reimbursement to planning for a follow-up visit. These presentations will provide an overview of the complete schedule for an outpatient and inpatient GI APP workday.

• Review best practices for endoscopic and advanced endoscopic procedures. • Identify the appropriate evaluation and management algorithm for common GI symptoms/diagnoses that an APP will encounter through case-based clinical scenarios. • Learn the essentials of patient management for IBD, acute pancreatitis and GI bleeding. • Discuss key points in therapeutic endoscopy including indications and potential complications of EMR, luminal stents, ESD, esophageal ablation, and EUS interventions. • Recognize GI emergencies and discuss the appropriate evaluation and management of acute conditions.
