TREATMENT
The Juventud,
Luz y Esperanza
I.A.P. Treatment
Program, uses a
Day Center
Therapeutic
Community
model.
Our methodology is
based on the ECO2 Model, which was
developed by Mexican organizations advised by European
experts, having in mind the following goals:
To modify the negative concept of him or herself as well as life concepts, which might put him/her at risk of
becoming a drug user.
To rehabilitate his/her skills to face crisis situations.
To provide autonomy.
To create a structured life environment, which would allow him/her to
adopt habits, norms and rules to his/her lifestyle.
To achieve and
maintain
abstinence.

PREVENTION
PREVENTION
The main purpose of
this program is to raise
public awareness in
the vulnerable
population, such as
young people,
regarding protective
resources within their
reach in order to
prevent psychoactive
drug consumption and
other associated risks.
The methodology of the program is based on the
Chimalli Prevention Model, that works with risk
and protective factors, through the teaching of life
skills.
On the basis of the results, a
10 lessons specific
program is designedfor each one of the
communities.
An initial diagnosis isperformed on each one of
the school communities.
At the same time,
networks of parentsare created and a specific
program is designed, according to the needs
identified in each network, in order to form self-managed
groups.
The program includes working with those school
teachers in preventive
workshops.
Finally, an assessment is performed by means of a measurement device for
impact; this enables us to observe the changes
generated by the program.
10
OTHER ACTIVITIES IN PREVENTION
The team has an active
participation in fairs of universal
prevention in districts, universities and the ones organized by the civil
society.
Participation
in fairs
Workshops designed for children and
adolescents who are at an increased risk of consumption, mainly to relatives
of users and members of the
community.
Indicated
Prevention
It is a space to keep readers and
beneficiaries on the different activities
that are carried out in the preventive
lessons in schools.
