Religions!

Quick ComicHi I’m Buddha! I have my followers believe that I am pretty much a god and that to truly be enlightened you need to practically starve yourself and meditate for years on good and evil, and that you may never sin!

I’m an animist. I believe that everyone and everything has a soul. I believe that these spirits can help or harm me. I worship all things inanimate, from rocks to water. I think these things can help or protect me from harm. Animist farmers worship and pray to the ground to be fertile.

Hi! I’m Jesus. I created the earth and am part of the holy trinity, along with God and the Holy Spirit. I created mankind and despite what you may think, I didn’t create evil or am the cause of any bad things that happen to you. I gave mankind (and womankind) free will. I gave mankind redemption even though one sin will prevent you from entering heaven. I was beaten and tortured and nailed to the cross to save all of humanity from their actions. I died so mankind can go to heaven.

happiness and prosperity. If not the prosperity and happiness may be consumed by the shadows. The only way is to obey and that is to eat

the Christian sandwich.

Advice Column     Here are some tips and advice on becoming a better Hindu, but first you need a glance on what Hindu is (just in case if you're just starting out or just to help you out understand a little bit more ). Unlike any other religion Hinduism has no single founder. Through many years there were many key figures that taught many philosophies and wrote many holy books. There is about 80% of the Indian population that regards themselves as Hindus. Hindus believe that life (existence) is a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth governed by karma. Also Hindus believed that a soul that passes through a cycle of successful life then in its incarnation will depend on how the previous lives were lived (this is just a small glance).    Here is some information about Ganesh birthday many Hindus celebrate this holiday and it’s an important holiday too. Ganesh birthday this year (at the time I wrote this its 2015) Thursday, September 17, 2015 (Ganesh Chaturthi). In India the festival is celebrated for ten days it’s an enjoyable and joyous event .Candy (sweets) are distributed because in Hindu legend it said that Ganesh enjoyed them. Ganesh has an elephant's head on a human body and in Hindu tradition he is the son of Lord Siva and the goddess Pārbati. If you did not celebrate this holiday then this will help you be a better Hindu since you're celebrating Ganesh birthday. You should celebrate it because you worship him as your God and in my opinion this shows respect to him since it was the day he was born.     Many of Hindus homes they have a shrine where prayers are said. The shrine can be a room, altar, shrine or a picture of the person (in this case Ganesh). You can go to a temple too say prayers or over offerings. In a temple different parts of the building have different symbolic meanings. The center of the shrine is the where they do most of the worshiping since that's the heart of the worshiper. A tower represents the flight of the spirit to heaven. It's important that you say prayers and offer offerings to Ganesh.

How does Islam relate with Jesus Christ?Within the Qur’an Jesus Christ is seen as another side prophet but

another major one nonetheless. Entering the Ka’Ba Muhammad ordered all of its icons to be destroyed or cleansed. One of these was a virgin

and child; he covered the child with his cloak and ordered all of the rest to be washed away. The Qur'an rewrites the story of Jesus more

radically than that of any other prophet, and in doing so it reinvents him. Jesus in the Qur’an is uniquely among the other prophets he is seen as a miracle of god an eye; meaning he is the word and spirit of god. He is

the prophet of peace and excellence, he is also the one that is supposed to predict the coming of Muhammad. The Hadith or prophetic tradition of Muhammad he is the one that will come when it is the world’s end, to end things. Within the Qur’an there is many stories of Jesus one is “Jesus met a man and asked him, what are you doing? ‘I am devoting myself to God,' the man replied. Jesus asked, 'Who is caring for you?'

'My brother,' said the man. Jesus said, 'Your brother is more devoted to God than you are'." Here's another: "Jesus said, the world is a bridge;

cross this bridge but do not build upon it". Within the Qur’an there is over 300 words, sayings and stories of Jesus. In Christianity Muhammad is never mentioned as a prophet or anyone at all. One defies the other

from ever being there and the other says they were both were there, one in the beginning (Islam) middle and end (Christianity).   In Christianity I would like to point out that there were other prophets but none of them

were named Muhammad.

Top Ten Christian Relics (Jesus relics)There are many relics associated with the life of Jesus Christ. These are the top ten holy relics for Christianity (mainly Jesus related relics) (not in any particularly order)

1. The Holy Grail (The cup that Jesus drank out of at the Last Supper. Many have tried to find its location but failed.)

2. The Holy Tunic (It is said to be worn by Jesus they're not sure if it was before or right after being crucified. The tunic may be holy to some people since it was use by Jesus but some may just think its

just a piece of cloth)3. The Holy Lance (this lance was used to pierced Jesus while he

was on the cross, i don't know why this will be considered to be holy since it pierced Jesus. I think that maybe its holy because it was a lance that was use in the crucifixion of Jesus)

4. The Mandy lion ( Portrait sent to King Apgar by Jesus

5. The True Cross (The True Cross is referred as the cross used in the crucifixion of Jesus. some say they have found pieces of the true cross but some people think that they did not find thee but some people claim that they are indeed real)

6. Crown of Thorn (Put on Jesus’s head while on the cross.  )

7. The Shroud of Turin (Cloth put over Jesus during burial. When people looked at it they saw that there was a body and the body was on the cloth like a picture on the Turin. People say that its Jesus because the Turin was used on the burial of Jesus. )

8. The veil of Veronica ( A piece of cloth that was used to wipe the sweat off of Jesus when he was carrying the cross. It is said to

have the face of Jesus. I don't really see a face but maybe it does but you have to look hard enough to see it.  )

9. The Holy Nails ( the nails that were pinned to Jesus’s hands and feet )

10. The Blood of Jesus ( The blood of Jesus is said to be preserved and was taken from Jesus while on the cross )

Editorial

Mythology, folklore and religion shape culture by being influencing the actions and decisions of a cultural group. The more primitive and pagan religions are influenced by their many false gods, sacrificing themselves and others for their "gods" demands. Atheists are influenced by their sad lack of a god by doing pretty much anything their morale allows. Christians are influenced by the fact that God doesn't demand sacrifice, but sacrificed himself for us out of love, and the only way out of hell and eternal suffering and separation from God is to believe that Jesus did die on the cross. Sort of like a gift. It's there and free to open, and you are told exactly what is inside, yet some don't open the box, or pretend to, because they don't believe something that good can be true. I am sure that all of these reasons contribute to cultures being shaped by their belief.
