The European chemical plastics market is a large market. European customers expect packaging to be adapted to their needs, making this continent a difficult market to supply. As well as products being delivered to customers in bags on pallets, there is also a very large bulk (silo truck) market between Antwerp to Southern Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Northern France. Certain customers require specific packaging such as octabins or big bags.

RESINS AND POWDER STORAGE AND HANDLING

Debulking and rebulking are typical Antwerp port activities The maritime containers are emptied and the product reloaded into the most cost-effective transport size, taking into account payload optimisation per destination and per transport mode.

Palletised non-dangerous powders and resins have huge opportunities for cost-effective storage in the port of Antwerp general warehouses.In fact, the Antwerp region offers no less than 6.1 million square metres of general (covered) warehousing. Preventing pellet lossThe plastics industry is taking measures to contain plastic resin pellets that could get lost during production or transport and follow waterways into the sea.

Storage locations indicated below are certified for hazardous goods and can store full and empty, not cleaned, ISO tank containers. A check of availibility and permits will be done by the service provider before storage can be accepted. It is necessary to submit the MSDS for products concerned.
