T he Center, formerly the Maryland Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Information and Counseling Program (SIDS), was established in 1975 by the State of Maryland to comply with the mandates of the SIDS act of 1974. The grant was co- written by Dr. G as he founded the Maryland SIDS Program. He strongly believed in the mission and vision of this institution. He was an active supporter, always challenging everyone to think beyond the parameters of the program. The dedication he had to his craft was unfaltering. Caring for infants, children, and their families was his life’s work. His resolute appreciation for the Center and the Department of Pediatrics was characteristically demonstrated by his attendance at the Annual SIDS Golf Invitational and Annual Pediatric Holiday Celebration. Dr. G was known for his ability to create revelry and laughter everywhere he went, and we invite you to celebrate his life through an event that would meet with his complete approval.
