“MARINE VIRTUAL PIPE LINE FOR
SMALL SCALE LNG LOGISTIC”
Optimum Solution for Gas Power Plant in Indonesian Central Region
By : Gembong Primadjaja
• PT. Pelindo Energi Logistik (PT. PEL) is an affiliation of PT. Pelindo III, which engaged in provision of energy , electricity and logistic.
• PT.PEL have been collaborated with PT. Indonesia Power in LNG Receiving Terminal Project, for supplying gas to the Dual Fuel Engine Power Plant in Pesanggaran, Bali. The natural gas is schedule to be delivered to the power plant on September 2015.
• 50 MMSCFD Regasification Unit is being built in Korea and will be operated September 2015 in Benoa Port, Bali.
• Procurement process of Storage & Shuttle Vessel is already started.
INTRODUCTION OF PT. PELINDO ENERGI LOGISTIK (PT.PEL)
• Prospected LNG Fields to supply the LNG demand from PT. PEL are Badak and Tangguh LNG Field taken from PLN allocation.
• PT. Pelindo Energi Logistik (PT. PEL) is projecting to have capabilities to supply LNG to Gas Power Plant with capacity of 650 MW in early 2018.
• With the additional LNG hub, the LNG Vessel Round Trip Day (RTD) will be shorter, therefore the capacity of LNG supply could be larger.

INDONESIAN CENTRAL REGION
Natural Gas is Potential Energy Fuel in Indonesia
Production of Natural Gas in Indonesia Source = SKK Migas – IPA Technical Division Presentation, 30 April 2014
• From 2002, energy production in Indonesia is dominated by gas and this trend will continue in the future
• Production of natural gas in 2015 is approximately 1240 MBOEPD
Increasing of Domestic Natural Gas Demand
Natural Gas Market Source = SKK Migas – IPA Technical Division Presentation, 30 April 2014
• Gas allocation policy prioritizes natural gas to supply domestic market
• The prioritized segments are oil lifting, fertilizer feedstock, power plant, and industry.
• However, there is limitations of natural gas infrastructure.

POWER PLANT DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Power Plant Development Plan in Indonesian Central Region
• The concept of power plant development is based on power plant data, power plant development plan, and infrastructure support.
• PT PLN has written data of power plant and power plant development plan as starting point of this project.
• PT PEL want to offer infrastructure support of those power plant

Electricity Transmission
• Transmission planning requires a longer preparation considering the needs of ground covers a wide area.
• Distribution system in Central Indonesia Region within the last 5 years show significant progress, especially in Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Lombok and NTT.
• During the period 2010-2014, the electrical transmission has increased 18% per year with a transmission length in 2010 about 4,522 kms increased to 8727 kms in 2014.
• The construction of substations increased by an average of 13.4% per year.

Potential LNG Source
• The LNG needs is supplied from PT Badak, Bontang and BP, Tangguh.
• PT Badak is produced LNG approximately 22.5 MTPA
• BP is produced LNG approximately 7.6 MTPA
• The composition of LNG from those two source is displayed in Table 3.
• Dock specification in BP can anchor ship with 85000 – 165000 m3.
