Established underneath beautiful crab apple trees, the Apple Blossom Lawn is theresting place for babies and children up to the age of 15.

Plot CapacityEach plot allows for one casket burial or one ash interment.

Casket size: 600mm wide x 1500mm long (maximum lid dimensions).Ash urn size: Not to exceed 330mm x 205mm x 180mm.

MemorialsOne memorial is allowed per plot and it can include a statue or ornament made of permanent material: Maximum memorial size: 650mm wide x 350mm deep x 700mm high including an optional base 350mm x 650mmIt is preferred that the memorial design includes a recess for a flower vase. An attached statue or ornament is considered part of the memorial and must not exceed the overall dimension of the memorial.

DebtsNo memorial will be installed if there are outstanding debts.

Interment BookingsInterments are booked either directly with the Cemetery office which is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm or via a funeral director.

Memorial PurchaseMemorial purchase is the family’s responsibility and must be arranged through a Council approved monumental mason familiar with Hamilton Park Cemetery health and safety and bylaw requirements.

Memorabilia or TributesFresh or artificial flowers are considered the most appropriate form of memorabilia, and these should be placed in a vase within the contained area of the memorial. Unfortunately memorabilia containing glass, ceramics, terracotta, rocks and pebbles, or wire/metal-based items is not permitted because it presents a safety hazard during maintenance and for people visiting the area. Items will be removed and held for one month in accordance with the Hamilton City Cemeteries and Crematorium Bylaw. Collection can be arranged from the cemetery office between 8.30am and 4pm.

Temporary Plot MarkersFamilies may place a temporary plot marker on the beams for one year following the burial. This includes plastic containers or similar, with sand or dirt providing it meets the following criteria:

No larger than the width or depth of permitted memorial dimensions.Placed 200mm back from the front edge of the beam.
