The word is that they are struggling to field a full team and we start the first quarter 16 aside. The breeze starts to pick up and we decide to set ourselves a challenge after winning the toss and kicking into a 5 goal wind. Our goal for this game is to run and keep running, we will use this game as a rehearsal for next week against The Pines. Although we control most of the play we go to quarter time leading 1 goal 5 behinds to 1 behind. We are getting lots of forward entry but are not able to capitalise. The second term will see us kicking with a stiff 5 goal breeze so things could get away from Chelsea here. At least that is what should have happened. Instead we have most of the play again and waste our opportunities near goal, this is becoming a trend. We go to the main break with scores 3.13.31 to 1 behind. Against better sides this is what will be our undoing. The 3rd term sees us kicking against the wind and a few big kicks out of the centre by Chelsea could see us in trouble. To our backs and on ballers credit we limit Chelsea to 2 goals and manage to kick 4 ourselves. We

Match ReportToday we came up against the Chelsea team at Chelsea. We are running hard and our work ethic is good but our forwards remain flat footed too often. We go to 3 quarter time 7.15.57 to 2.3.15A 3 quarter time spray is given and we are reminded that we are playing against a sub par team and we should have been in a far better position by this stage. The boys effort to kick well constructed goals in the last term is pleasing. We get lots of ball through the corridor and dominate a now fatigued Chelsea. Still way too many behinds kicked but 7 goals as well took the sting out of the situation. Lots of positives come out of this game and some glaring issues that we still need to address. We have built this team from the back line, which I would put up against any in the comp. Our on ballers are improving with each game we play and Paul has his rotations working very well. The big challenge is to now kick a winning score against the better teams. Next week sees us at the half way mark of the season, we know what to expect from all teams now, so plans can be put into place to give ourselves every chance to play finals. Next week is a crucial game and will set the tone for the rest of the season.
