America has been a safe haven for the Gospelfor many years. Around the turn of the millen-nia, America celebrated the fifth centenary of

the first preaching of the Gospel on its’ soil. Wehave been the largest missionary sending nationin the world for over a century shining as a beaconof light, hope and an example of the great com-mission to all nations.

Presently, America is in crisis. We are no longer thelargest Christian nation or the largest mission send-ing nation. South Korea has taken the lead in mis-sions and China in having the most believers in anation. As a matter of fact, America has the largest“unchurched” generation it has ever known. Ac-

cording to an article called, “Religion among theMillennials” released by the “Pew Research Center”only 18% of Millennials attend a church regularly. Franklin Graham said in recent interviews that thetwo greatest threats to the American church andAmerica are the homosexual and Islamic agenda. Iknow that these two topics are big controversies forAmerica. I am intensely concerned about both;however, I do not believe that either are the great-est crisis that the Church is facing right now inAmerica. “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: Theseare the words of the Amen, the faithful and true wit-ness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were

either one or the other! So, because you are

lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spityou out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have ac-quired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you donot realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blindand naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me goldrefined in the fire, so you can become rich; andwhite clothes to wear, so you can cover your shame-ful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so youcan see” Revelation 3:14-18 (NIV).

The Church of America has lost its’ first love and asa result, all these issues have risen. American Chris-tians for the majority have lost their commitmentand passion for Jesus Christ. We have worshiped inbuildings that we have not had to pay for, we havepreached sermons that we have gotten online thatwe haven’t sought God for, and we have experi-enced a harvest on the seed that our forefathershave sown for.

Many American Christians complain when thechurch service runs too long, or the air is too hot orcold. We leave the church if the leaders tell ussomething we don’t want to hear, even when it isbiblical truth. Leaders have been more concernedabout numbers, nickels and noses that we havecompromised the message for being culturally sen-sitive or ecumenical driven. We have spent moretime over 50 years entertaining the church of Amer-ica rather than training the church of America thatwe have produced “perverts” instead of “converts”,allowing unbiblical same-sex relationships to notonly be married, but ordained. For decades, wehave been “seeker friendly” rather than “seekingHim.” As a result of this shift, we now have a har-

Divine knowledge or discernment is different fromwisdom in the sense of the former being a build-ing block or information store house from which

wisdom acquires the needed tools or resources towork. In fact scripture makes the distinction evenclearer in 1 Kings 3:6-12. In Solomon's words, we seethat he asked for more than wisdom: he actually askedfor discernment. Consider Solomon's prayer:

"Give your servant therefore an understanding mindto govern your people that I may discern betweengood and evil" (1 Kings 3:9a). God answers Solomonthus: "Because you have asked this, and have notasked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your

enemies, but have asked for yourself understandingto discern what is right, behold, I now do according toyour word" (1 Kings 3:11-12a). "Behold, I give you awise and discerning mind, so that none like you hasbeen before you and none like you shall arise afteryou" (1 Kings 3:12b). God gave Solomon what he re-quested (discernment) and even more (wisdom).Solomon, therefore, became both wise and discerningor divinely knowledgeable, which factor was the in-spiration behind the truths in the book of Proverbs.

Divine discernment, takes place when we receive sen-sory/mental and extra-sensory illumination or insightthat enables the child of God to identify the true na-ture of things, personalities, events, times, situations, issues, conducts, revelations, and doctrines (I Corinthi-ans 2:6-14); and the true intentions behind their

occurrences.

Growth in revelation knowledge or discernment cor-responds with growth in one’s sense of judgment. Thisis the ability to identify or form the right opinions orevaluate issues and things properly with insight fromGod’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and factual evidence.Proverbs 24:3 says, “a house is built through wisdom;and by understanding or discernment it is established.

As we grow in submission to Christ, our sense of dis-cernment and judgment undergo a greater and morepositive development: as we meditate more and moreon the Word of God, and become more acquaintedwith His ways and principles for life in all obedience;as our lives are pruned more and more by the trials oflife (Proverbs 9:10). This process results in the devel-opment of humility in us; because it enables us to bet-ter appreciate the nature of God and also help us drawthe right conclusions about ourselves; leading to agreater sense of dependency on God (I Corinthians2:8-12; II Corinthians 3:5).

The knowledge of the original languages of the scrip-tural writings does not necessarily amount to divinerevelation. Such knowledge comes by human effort, and it only enriches revelation granted by the HolySpirit, by helping us avoid grammatical and etymo-logical or linguistical pitfalls that accompany our pri-vate interpretations of the Word; pitfalls that often baitand trap us into deceptive doctrines and corrupted ex-egesis of the letter and spirit of the Word of God.Knowledge acquired by means of man’s naturalsenses is limited in scope and content, and henceplaces us in a disadvantaged position, when it comesto gaining insight into that which is not responsive toour senses and cannot be processed by our mental fac-ulties.

Every word that comes out of our mouths has power init—creative or destructive, positive or negative.Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) says, “Death and life are in the

power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eatthe fruit of it [for death or life].” So whether we murmurand complain or give thanks and keep a positive attitude,we are feeding our body, mind and spirit. So if you’re notenjoying your life, the best thing you can do is think aboutwhat you’ve been talking about.First Peter 3:10 says, “For let him who wants to enjoy life

and see good days [good—whether apparent or not] keephis tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treach-ery, deceit).” Our joy is connected to what we say. And oneof the ways we can instantly increase our joy is to stop talk-ing about all of our problems. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) says, “Do not be anxious about any-thing, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, withthanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peaceof God, which transcends all understanding, will guardyour hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”These verses show us that when we put our faith in God, wecan stay in peace in every situation in our lives. The ques-tion is, when we pray and ask God to change something inour lives, are we releasing our faith?

We need to understand that the moment we pray, Godgoes to work on that situation. And after we pray, what wesay while we’re waiting to see the answer to our prayer isvery, very important. So pray and then say something toenhance your prayers─speak faith-filled words. After I pray,I set myself to believe that God is working no matter whatI see…no matter what it feels like. Because oftentimeswhen it seems nothing is happening, that’s when God isdoing what we need the most.

Another way we can instantly increase our joy is by usingour words to encourage those around us. Proverbs 18:20(AMP) says, “A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with thefruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his wordshe must be satisfied [whether good or evil].” Every word islike a seed and it brings some kind of harvest in our lives. If you give others joy with your words, you will increaseyour own joy. If you want to enjoy your life, let God use youto make other people happy. Because the happier youmake other people, the happier you will be.

Encouraging words can also bring healing, by simply say-ing things like “I appreciate you. Forgive me. I’m sorry andI was wrong.” I was not what I would call a natural encour-ager, but I made a commitment to God years ago to startencouraging people on purpose. Now I ask God every day,“Who can I encourage today? How can I build someoneup?” It’s amazing how much better life can be when yougive someone an encouraging word every day.We can also increase our joy by being thankful and sayingit. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiv-ing and a thank offering and into His courts with praise!Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionatelypraise His name!” Thank God for every blessing that youcan think of. Every morning I like to have what I call a“blessing session.” It’s when I take time to thank God forworking in my life. One thing I’ve learned is when we’rewaiting for a breakthrough, we need to thank Him for work-ing on that situation behind the scenes. I also thank God formy husband, children and grandchildren as well as all ofour partners and all of the people who work with us inspreading the Gospel through our ministry. God wants you to enjoy your life. I hope you will really getthis message today and be encouraged to know that whenyou face challenges in life, you can make them better orworse by the way you talk about them. I don’t believe wecan change all of our circumstances into pleasant ones bymaking positive confessions, but we can increase our joyand peace in the midst of them when we choose to speakin agreement with God and learn to say what He says.

In Acts 4:17 a statement was made thus: “But sothat it spreads no further among the people, let usseverely threaten them that from now on they

speak to no man in this name“ NKJV. This was said bythe enemies of the gospel: The Sanhedrin, those inhigh places who claimed to know more than every-body else. They conspired to arrest and threaten Peterand John for preaching the gospel and performingmiracles in the name of Jesus.

With this story, I want to advise you to always do whatthe disciples did, whenever you feel threatened. What did they do? They prayed.

When life’s situations ar-rest you as they arrestedPeter and John, youneed to pray. Some-times powers that arebeyond you put up ascheme to harass you forpitching your tent in thecamp of Jesus Christ. The anti-goodness

group said among themselves, “What shall we do tothese men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle hasbeen done through them is evident to all who dwellin Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it”- Acts 4:16NKJV.

As you can see, threats may arise against you becauseyour ministry is thriving, your children are excelling, you are being promoted rapidly, you appear to beblessed, you are doing well in business, or you arealways standing for the truth. At times the threat may be from sickness, disease, poverty, and trauma of some kind, marital issues orthe like. I have news for you. If you will pray and bebold, standing upon the Rock – the Truth – Jesus

Christ, you will overcome. You will be free. When you are threatened, take these steps asthe disciples did:They brought God into the picture: Have youbrought God into the picture yet? Have you told Himthat you’re being threatened? Have you invitedHim? See Ps. 91:5. Prayer is the door through whichHe enters your situation. Acts 4:23-28

They prayed to receive boldness and morefaith: saying, “Now, Lord, look upon their threats, and grant to your servants that with all boldness theymay speak your word,” - Acts 4:29.

They expected God’s intervention: In Acts 4:30they asked God to stretch out His hands. Expect Godto move. He handles all shifts, even night shifts, asyou can read in Matt. 14:25 - yes, even at 4:00 a.m.in the morning. Jesus keeps night shifts too. When-ever you call on Him, He will be there. He appears topeople anytime and all the time.

They were filled with the Holy Spirit: Throughprayer, they received the Holy Spirit who gave themboldness and energy to move on - Acts 4:31. You canbe energized too if you pray.

RESULT:You will be freed: The bible says, “But at night anangel of the Lord opened the prison doors andbrought them out, and said, Go, stand in the templeand speak to the people all the words of this life.”Acts 5:19-20 NKJV

When you are threatened, pray like the disciples did- a prayer that brings a shaking. When that prayeroccurs, the Holy Spirit will come and strengthen youto bring boldness and victory. The bible says, youshall realize and enjoy your freedom in Jesus name.

Life offers us a variety of choices, and it is up tous whether we choose the good ones or thebad. The career path we choose, the food we eat,

the clothes we wear, and the life partner we chooseare things, which we can decide upon. As parents,it is our responsibility to teach our children to makethe right choices in life.A child when given the option will choose what isattractive and appealing, not thinking about theend results. The bible says, “You shall teach them diligently to

your children, and shalltalk of them when yousit in your house, andwhen you walk by theway, and when you liedown, and when yourise” (Deuteronomy 6:7ESV).

The choices you make as a parent will either affectyour child positively or negatively, since they look atyou as their role model to emulate. If you will re-member, there was a time when your child pre-tended to be like the dad or the mom, talking andmoving like they do, and even sometimes puttingon your dress or shoes just to be like dad or mom.Have you asked yourself “what does my child dis-play when he/she is pretending to be me”?.

Some points for making right choices1. Make right choices yourself2. Teach your child to choose right and tell themwhy you made them make that choice and not the

one they wanted.3. Never shut down your child’s request withouttelling them the reason why it is not necessary forhim/her4. Train your child to be a leader than to be led5. Build up the child’s confidence by building hisself-confidenceAll these cannot be achieved without the word ofGod, which will instill in the child the fear of God,which produces wisdom. As parents and the light & salt of our families, andthose around us, it is our obligation to live lives thathonor Christ and also become role models for ourchildren to emulate as they grow.Training our children in the Lord starts with us asparents, because our children display our characterand attitudes, since those are what they constantlysee.

When I married Karen, I'll admit I was looking fora good woman who would serve me. That's whatI thought a successful marriage was: finding

someone to serve you. That's because I was a chauvinist.I thought men were better than women.Needless to say, the idea of me serving Karen was the far-thest thing from my mind. It was a shock to me that shewould even expect me to do anything. In John 13, Jesus is in the remaining hours before beingcrucified. He is eating a meal with His disciples. The dis-ciples were having a conversation about which one ofthem was the greatest—they never were the sharpestknives in the drawer—when Jesus made an example ofwashing their feet.

Remember, these guys spent all day wearing sandals ondusty roads. Their feet were filthy. Washing someone'sfoot was a demeaning task, detestable to them.Jesus told them the servant was the greatest of all. ThatHis followers were to be servants. They were stunned byboth His example and His message. As followers of Christ, around friends, among strangers, and especially within our marriages, we are to be ser-vants. We are to put others' needs ahead of our own.A husband and wife who constantly serve one anotherhave discovered the secret of a great marriage. Why is serving each other so important?Equality. A person who refuses to serve his or her spouseis either dominating the relationship or has checked outemotionally. Men and women are absolutely equal. Serv-

ing your spouse—doing things in their interest, not

yours—tells them "I am not better than you."Humility. We're naturally prideful. Both men and womenhave pride issues in their lives. We might be given tasksor asked to do things and we think, "I'm too good forthat." But that's an unhealthy attitude in marriage. Help-ing is about being involved with even the insignificantdetails of each other's days.Do the dishes. Wash the car. Fold clothes. Clean toilets.Give a foot rub. Nothing is beneath you if it benefits yourspouse—even if you're wealthy. One of the worst mar-riages I've ever seen was a wealthy couple who wouldn'tdo anything for each other. Why? Because they alwayshired people to do any work for them.Intimacy. In Matthew 6, Jesus said, "Wherever your treas-ure is, there will your heart be also." Where you investyourself, that's where your passion will be. If you're pour-ing all your time and abilities into your work, or your chil-dren, or your hobbies, that will become what you treasuremost.Pour your time and abilities into serving your spouse, and he or she will capture your heart. Continually invest-ing in each other means you stay passionate for eachother. It means you're sharing your life with each other. It brings you closer.Destiny. God decided it was not good for Adam to bealone. He created us for each other. I can't achieve whatGod has planned for me without Karen. She can't reachher full potential without me. Obviously God can do any-thing, but He put us in each other's lives for a reason: toserve each other toward our destiny together. The best marriages are made of two servants in love. Puteach other first and you'll discover the marriage of yourdreams.Blessings,

vest of juvenile believers that don’t recognize truthnor desire it. With a shortage of Bible truths, therebecomes no foundation to stand on when times gettough, and times are tough.

The American church has become so worldly andthe world so “churchy” that we have a hard time dif-ferentiating between the two. Perhaps this is onereason people don’t frequent church as much inAmerica anymore. We need to get back to a placewhere we are presence driven with a purpose, rather than purpose driven limiting His presence. Will the American Church even recognize a trueawakening when it takes place? We are accustomedto “four points and a poem.” When believers wait,or tarry for the presence of the Holy Spirit in a serv-ice to start moving and have His way, will we labelit as weird, witchcraft, or something foreign? Theworking of the Holy Spirit is sometimes consideredunfamiliar to the church rather than common to it.The pattern for how the New Testament church func-tions is clear in the Holy Scriptures, which is un-changing.

I have traveled on five continents to see the Churchand it is in revival! Jesus is coming back. TheChurch is alive and well globally. They are passion-ate, faithful, courageous, and committed, evenwhen they are faced with death, torture or eco-nomic isolation. Persecution is a reality and globalbelievers are taught to be ready for this possibilityfrom their beginning stages of discipleship. Most American believers don’t fully understand dis-cipleship. We have been disciplined and desensi-tized by our electronic addiction so much that wespend 6 to 7 hours a day on devices, but we don’tread our Bible 6 or 7 minutes a day. America has al-lowed Hollywood to dictate the trends and Disneyto raise our kids. Now we are experiencing the re-sults. We need a New Testament Holy Spirit shak-ing. Will it take this shaking to get America back to

its’ first love? Will the next crisis in America be thecatalyst?

I love the words of Jake Hamilton in his song enti-tled, “The Anthem.” “I can hear the footsteps of myKing…I can hear a holy rumbling…Loosing chainsand breaking down the walls, I want to hear the Fa-ther when He calls. This is the anthem of our gen-eration. Here we are God, shake our nation. I'mgonna shake history. I'm gonna change the world.”God is raising up a new breed of believers out ofthe mess in America. It’s one with a warrior spirit, but not with the weapons of this world. They havethe love and power of Jesus Christ. We have seenmany Muslims and homosexuals come to the JesusChrist over the 16 years of preaching the cross. Itwasn’t because we are preaching a message ofhate, nor of anger. The Gospel is a message of love, grace, power, hope, redemption and holiness. Thatis what changes people’s lives, not comparisons orcompromises.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) says, “If my people, who arecalled by my name, will humble themselves andpray and seek my face and turn from their wickedways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will for-give their sin and will heal their land.” It’s time for American to humble ourselves, seek theface of God, repent and get back to the biblicalfoundation on which America was founded. Godhas an awesome plan for America in these last days. The greatest revival and awakening we have everknown is before us, not behind us. The thing is, it’scoming through a people broken and humbled. It’scoming through a passionate cry to heaven to touchthese United Sates of America with rivers of livingwater. It’s coming through a remnant of prayer war-riors who will be relentless and “hot” in their pur-suit of Jesus Christ.

So my cry today is, “Where are all the warriors?”
