The "Quilt Sisters" program is designed to pair experienced guild members with new members to help make them feel welcome: answer any questions about guild activities and quilting in general. This program is available to any new member
who chooses to take advantage of the program but it is not a requirement to become a member.
Sharon Morkal will head up this program.
Show us what you do or learn something new!
Bring something for show and tell,
attend workshops, or donate a quilt and be en-
tered into a drawing for a free membership.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION From Evie Fell
Workshops/open sews will be held on the Saturday after the KPQG monthly meeting. Anyone is welcome to come. You may bring something to work on and you may participate in the monthly pro-ject. There are several changes this year. First and importantly is the change of location. We will be back at Indiana Wes-leyan continuing the established hours of 10am to 3 pm. This move incurred a rent-al fee. Therefore, a small fee of $5 for each attendee will be required and paid on the day of attendance. We will discon-tinue the raffle gifts at each workshop. Great news for those attending. (A little something extra if you choose. You get something for your money and learn a little from a volunteer member.) Each month the committee will strive to have a small learning experience. The April workshop will be an Open Sew. This is a good time to work on an unfinished project , a donation quilt, or start something new project. It is also a good time to see what other people in the group are creating. Bring your machine and supplies and have a fun day of sew-ing. Don’t forget your $5 fee.
Donation quilts for the Kokomo Police Department can be any size, since they

Thanks to Maggie Fellow for sharing her tal-ents with us at the February workshop.
March’s meeting had 62 members Present. We Now have 93 paid members. We had two new members in March—Becky Herman-son and Betty Hedges.
This Month’s Guest— Linda Hale and Teri Dougherty
Linda started the Back Door, Inc. almost 46 years ago with two of her neighbors. The neighborhood ladies would get together and want to learn how to make things, and that’s what launched the shop. Starting in Linda’s basement, they quickly moved to a storefront, and over the years, the shop grew, moved, and grew again several more times. Teri has been part of the shop for 36 years. Back Door Quilts now has over 5000 square feet, two long arm quilting machines, over 1000 bolts of batik, thousands of bolts of reproductions, basics, and bright. They have hundreds of samples for your inspiration.
