Vernita was born April 20th, in the quaint little town of Buhl, Idaho. She lived there with her parents, 2brothers and 1 sister for most of her life. It was there she met and married Loren Meier and they
marrid in 1951. Loren and Vernita had 3 beautiful children, Shirley, Kendall and Kevin. Vernita waswidowed at a young age with small children, but perservered by becoming a seamstress for her

community and making all of her children's clothes as well. She was a professional seamstress forabout 5 years when she was approached by Mr. Rangen, the owner of Rangen, Inc., a diverse
agricultural-based business in Buhl. Vernita worked there in the personnel department as abookkeeper for many years. Due to the kindness of Mr. Rangen, Vernita was able to work full time
and raise her children in the most well balanced way. He allowed her to leave work each day beforethe children got off the school bus so she could be home when they got home from school. Vernita
has very fond memories of her time with family in Buhl, one special time was when she and her kidstook a trip down to the west coast then traveled up through Canada and back down through Kansas,
where the Meier family has their roots. Vernita moved to Boise 12 years ago to be closer to herfamily.
We are so happy to have Vernita here at Willow Park!
