The GoosersIt is sad to report that this great bunch of goose hunters now lives on only in fond memories as the lone survivor, Roy Christenson, died this past Sunday afternoon in Havre. Gosh, the stories these fellas could tell while still with us were entertaining to say the least! From back in the Courier days listening to Stove Pipe, or sitting in the Elks Club as Ed would spin his yarns, and “Chris” at the VFW... these guys could tell true stories that would literally make you laugh yourself into tears. “And they were all true because I was there for a bunch of it,” said John Swanson, Ed’s son (you gotta ask John about one of the many goose plucking incidents at the

Hutterite Colony). Frog and Snuff, Stove Pipe’s boys, can also tattle on some of their shenanigans. If you know your Ford pickups, the grille in the background should give you a good idea of when this photo was taken, as Ed would buy a new Ford every two years.

The Goosers were, left to right, Dick Cobb, Bob Whitmeyer, Roy Christenson, Leo Larson, Norm “Stove Pipe” Dahl, and Edwin Swanson.

Funeral plans for Roy are being made by his sons, Peter and Jason. Roy’s brother Dave informed us it will be held here in Glasgow.

ATTN Irrigators: ASAP ALERT The Glasgow Irrigation District asks all irrigators to remove all fences and debris from the ditches as soon as possible. Flushing of the canal will begin soon.

When Charlene Allmer found out that she had to miss her high school prom in order to atttend a meeting in the state capital, her Dad wanted to do something to help out. So, after the high school sophomore from Wolf Point, Montana wrapped up her meetings as a member of the Student Advisory Board for state Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau, her Dad Lee decided to take her to Bozeman. That’s where Rob O’Neill, the Navy SEAL credited with killing Osama bin Laden, was scheduled to speak. By the end of the night- Charlene was saying, “Prom SCHMOM!” Why? Well, since she had to miss out on her prom night- Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill agreed to take her on the stage for a dance as the Mohr4 played live in the background. O’Neill spoke at the Gallatin County Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner event honoring “Hometown Heros.” By the way — the young lady who danced with Rob O’Neill is the daughter of Lee Allmer from KVCK radio in Wolf Point

So she missed her Prom in Wolf Point... No big deal!

And of course Rob O’Neill is the brother of Tommy O’Neill from KXTL radio in Butte…after we hooked it up for his daughter to get her prom dance on the stage with Rob O’Neill — Lee came up afterwards with tears in her eyes because of how special it was for her… It was a great event this past Saturday night. I was the MC — in addition to O’Neill, we heard directly from Senaator Steve Daines, Representative Ryan Zinke, Greg Gianforte, and Mary Todd. The Copper Springs Ranch is INCREDIBLE. We were in the smaller arena (still huge)…they had a big barrel racing event going on in the large arena next door. It was developed by Klein Gilhousen — the creator of CDMA technology and top exec with QualComm back in the day. By the way, O’Neill was also featured in a recent copy of The Montana Pioneer, headlined: “Montana’s

20-947GREAT INCOME! PRICED TO SELL

Here’s “ADVICE & REQUESTS” ......for Investors-ADVICE:1. Do whatever you wish with your own property and

money, just don’t do anything illegal putting others at risk or at the cost of others.

2. Form your own Condo Association- tend to your own garden! Leave be the “Good Folks” of NVCCA.

REASON for THIS WRITING:3. There’s apprehension because of the way of NVCCA

is headed. For the bad repeat of the past? (same guy with controlling votes)

4. A “Red Flag” went up when Nick Chiechi was not allowed to serve on the NVCCA Board. He wanted to insure that all actions were legal, ethical, and honest. And too, was NVCCA ever legal, is it legal now? Was there legal power to carry out voting and appointments??? What’s next?

5. Many “Good People” of NVCCA don’t want to be used or taken advantage of. (their money and property)

REQUEST: Why don’t you go ahead and pursue your quest for clean insurable property titles in the Courts. Then you can move forward, pay your back taxes, bills, and liens and fix and sell your units. Your own lackings and lawsuits are what’s blocking your development the most.OPINION: The previous were the opinions and wishes of “Most” St. Marie owners with many years in residence. ~ Nick Chiechi “Due Diligence” ...the Truth Always Prevails*additions, corrections, comments, and opinions welcomed*

Three friends married women from different parts of the country. The first man married a woman from Alabama. He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away. The second man married a woman from Wisconsin. He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn’t see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table. The third man married a woman from Montana. He ordered her to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. The first day he didn’t see anything. The second day he didn’t see anything, but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye. And his arm was healed enough that he could fix himself a sandwich and load the dishwasher.
