Sindri Astmarsson is a manager from Iceland and fonder of Mid Atlantic Entertainment the largest mgmt company in Iceland. Sindri who has a background as a DJ, Radio host and event planner turned to management in 2013 when he started to manage then unknown band called Kaleo. Kaleo soon became the most popular band in the domestic market and started to look at international opportu-nities. They later signed in the US and signed with another mgmt company. When Sindri re-turned to Iceland he started Mid Atlantic and signed a couple of new artists. He funded a couple of EP’s including Axel Flovent’s Forest
Fires (over 30 million streams) and quickly became a dominant force in the Icelandic market. Working with act’s like Agent Fresco, Axel Flovent, Glowie, Ulfur Ulfur and many more he now runs a office of 5 people and a roster of 18 act’s. With little infrastructure the Icelandic market is challenging and MAE works in management, bookings, sync licens-ing, distribution and promotion. Last year Sindri worked with Glowie who signed with Columbia in the UK and has now just left that project in the hands of Maverick mgmt. Sindri is now working with the amazingly talented Bríet that is turning heads on both sides of the Atlantic and has massive major label in-terest.

SUNDANCE MUSIC / DENMARK

For more than 35 years Sundance Music has released music on the labels Stunt Records and Sundance Records. Quality has always been the hallmark of the company. Sundance works with the very best performers, musicians and composers, using the best recording studios, technicians and producers.Sundance represent a wide range of music genres, but with a focus on jazz, world mu-sic artists and indiepop/rock, stretching the boundaries and building bridges from tradi-tional and modern jazz to sophisticated pop and live recordings, The company has released more than 5.000 tracks, whereof more than half is published with Sundance Publishing. Our mission has always been to break new ground and reaching new music lovers each year, by identifying fresh talents and bringing them to expanding audiences. This, of course, is in addition to maintaining our high standard of more traditional jazz music that our loyal
listeners continue to enjoy. We gently push the listener to new emotional heights while enjoying both the “old” and “new,” as well as the familiar and exotic.Just as music can completely engulf our at-tention, it can also act as a pleasant and subtle background atmosphere, providing listeners with a unique opportunity to explore emotions. Our music succeeds as a marvelous sonic tapestry with formidable musicianship, superior compositions, poetic prose, and en-chanting vocals. Regardless of one’s relation-ship to the world of jazz, it’s impossible to go wrong here! Our music has been synched to the critically acclaimed and awardwinning Danish TV Se-ries (The Killing, Borgen, Rejseholdet, Ørnen and so on) as well as to American Series and International films. We offer high quality mu-sic to professionals in advertisment, series, movies corporations etc. with transparent license conditions. Our current high profile artists are Sinne Eeg & Kira Skov. Kira has a new album release in March feat. Bonnie Prince Billy and Sinne Eeg is currently touring USA and Europe and re-ceives amazing reviews all over for her recent release “Dreams”.
But there are so many more worth men-tioning: Hanne Boel, Mikkel Nordsø, Claus Hempler, Dicte Westergaard Madsen, Kath-rine Windfeld, Marilyn Mazur, Ridin’ Thumb, Dorado Schmitt, Rudy Smith, Stefano Bollani, Enrico Pieranunzi, Aaron Parks, Scott Hamil-ton, Harry Allen, Diego Figueiredo, Eliel Lazo a.o.Furthermore, Sundance represent a record store, a mail order company and a concert venue and we are a distributor in Denmark for international jazz labels, such as ECM, ACT, Fresh Sound, High Note a.o. Personally I have been with Sundance Music for 9 years, but I almost grew up in the music industry and have been working with all as-pects of the business. Being with an indepen-dent label, you get to work with every aspect of the company, which have been of great use being on the board of IFPI Denmark, MPO and Gramex. Educationally I have a master’s in business administration and commercial law.

Sara Maria Skarpaas CATALOG MANAGER
SONY MUSIC NORWAY / NORWAY
+47 9283 9340
I started as a Catalog Manager for Sony Music Norway in January, and working proactively with sync for our local roster is an important part of my new role. Before this, I spent five years in the local department where I worked closely with established and developing acts from all genres, first in promotion and then as a Product Manager. I loved this; however, I have always had a special interest in sync and the synergy between music and picture. So I am very happy for the opportunity to work with music in this context. Some of the acts on our roster are:Maria Mena, Amanda Delara, Alfred Hall, CLMD, Kygo, Kid Astray, DePresno, Bearson, Alan Walker, Ina Wroldsen, Christel Alsos, Ryt-meklubben, Loveless, Madcon, WNDR, Jesper Jenset, Nils Petter Molvær, SJUR, Davai, Auto-laser, KDL, BVD KULT, Marcus & Martinus, Chris-tiane, Unge Ferrari, Matilda, Big Bang, Sigrid (local rights), AURORA (local rights). I also
represent artist catalog such as Frøder, Elsa & Emilie, Emilie Nicolas, Kindred Fever, Comet Kid, to mention a few.In addition to working in Sony, I am part of a voluntary crew organizing the niche festival Høstsabbat in Oslo every fall.Apart from this, my background is varied. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Man-agement and one in Cultural Project Man-agement, as well as three years of Music Production. Then one year of International Development Studies with fieldwork in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, one year living in Costa Rica and courses in Journalism and as a Massage Therapist.Personally, I have always been a passionate lover of both music, drawing, lyrics and ar-chitecture. I write songs and used to play the guitar and bass as well as experiment with electronic music. Other interests are pho-tography, hiking, traveling and skiing in the winter. And surfing (the conditions are a bit colder in Norway than in L.A., though!) Back in Oslo I have a fiancé and a 14 months old son, who is a really cool little guy!
