Not long ago, no one inAmerica would have thought about preaching

the gospel reely in communist Ukraine, much lesshaving a permanent Bible and evangelism training

school where students come rom all over Ukraine to learn

how to share their aith.Yet by means o much prayer and many miracles, God has

done just that and much more. Amazing Facts launched its

rst-ever international AFCOE in 2010, and God has taken it toamazing heights. In our rst class, 31 students rom dierent parts

o Ukraine and a ew other countries gathered together or a our-month experience that would orever change their lives.

Laying the GroundworkThese eager students began their course with two weeks o

health evangelism training that included hydro and massagetherapy. Ater this, they began door-to-door training under ormerASI coordinator Kevin Sears, who now serves as the director o the

school. The students conducted surveys in the community thatoered ree health programs and Bible studies.

There was concern over how well this would be received, as ithad never been done beore in Ukraine. Hours were spent in prayerbeore the students went out.

Ater just the rst two days o outreach, more than 300 peoplehad requested Bible studies!

One man with a terrible headache answered the knock on

his door and discovered two o our young students smilingback at him. The man said, You want me to study the Bible?I cant study anything. I have had a migraine headache

every minute or three solid weeks now!They responded, We believe we can help you with that.

I you let us in, well show you how. They then gave him

a simple hydrotherapy treatment and a light massage.Ater 15 minutes the man exclaimed, My headache

is gone! You guys truly helped me. Lets sit down, and

Im ready to study anything you want! They had aBible study together right there! This is what we teach

at AFCOE, including our course here in the UnitedStates. Christs method o helping, healing, then

teaching wins the condence o people and opens

their hears to hear about Him. In act, so manypeople were interested that an additional day

o outreach each week was added.

Heartfelt PreparationAter eight weeks o training and hundreds o Bible studies

going in the city o Vinnitsa, a 24-night Bible prophecy seminarwas planned or the public. One hundred thousand invitations

were printed and passed out personally by local churchmembers and AFCOE students. Talk about dedication! I wasquite amazed at how everyone worked so closely together to

deliver 100,000 pieces o paper in a matter o days. Plus, about40 giant billboard ads were also placed throughout the city.

Advertisements were plastered on city buses and on publictelevision. Every preparation that could be done rom a humanstandpoint was done.

The most important preparations, however, were thoseo our own hearts. Gods blessing was desperately needed ianything positive would come through these eorts, and we

needed Him to cleanse us and ll us with His Holy Spirit so thatwe could be used to the ullest by Him. Many long hours werespent in prayer as the series rst day drew near.

Health Expo a Key ComponentOn the night beore the Bible seminar began, we hosted

a ree public health expo. Attendees were able to go throughseveral stations that included the eight crucial liestyle

principles ound in the NEWSTART program.They learned about the importance o proper nutrition,

exercise, water, sunlight, temperance, resh air, rest, and trustin God. Our students gave ree massages, blood pressure andheart rate checks, and health ood samples. We didnt know

how many people would come, but we werent ready or thenumber that did! More than 500 people rushed through thedoors when we opened, each eager to take advantage o the

ree health advice. It was elbow to elbow as people waited inlong lines or their turn. At the end o the night, more than 600people had unneled through. This again demonstrates the

need to use health when reaching out to people

spiritually, just as Jesus did.The dedication o students was incredible;

they just kept working hard all night long. When

I suggested to one student that he take a break, hereplied, This is a work or God; He will give me the

strength I need to keep going. The people need toexperience Jesus. True to His promise, God did justthat. Another dedicated student, 22-year-old Natasha,

had an experience in lie that most young ladies her agedont struggle withbreast cancer struck her in her lateteens. All I wanted to do in lie was work or God, she

said. I told him that i He would heal me, I would give mylie unreservedly to His cause. She is now cancer ree andaithul to her promise. She has led dozens o people to Jesus

and His truth. She told me, I I didnt work or God, I would

lose my purpose in lie and likely die. May God help us allhave this level o dedication!

Gods Promised Blessing Poured OutOn the opening night o the seminar, we knelt down in

prayer seeking Gods blessing. We had rented the largestpublic auditorium in town, which seats 600 people. I had the

joy o preaching and sharing Gods Word each evening. Withthe meeting hall packed, I preached about Gods love, Hispardon or sin, the prophecies o Revelation, and the soon

return o Jesus.Night ater night, I stared into the eyes o hundreds o people

who were hungry to hear the Bible messages o hope. They were

looking or hope they had never had beore, and they ound itin Christ. They eagerly shook my hand on their way out, tellingme how they just couldnt wait till the ollowing evening. Some

even told me they couldnt sleep at night in anticipation o thenext message. Others said they had never studied the Bible or

themselves or prayed to God in their entirelives till now. What a delight it was to see

them come orward during the altar calls to

invite Jesus intotheir hearts!

One such lady was

Tatiana, a middle-agedwoman who attended

every night. She said,

I am so thankul that Ihave ound Jesus at thisseminar. I was raised

in an atheistic home tobelieve that God doesnt

exist, but now I know He notonly exists but also lives within my heart. I have ound anew hope and joy in lie through Christ I never knew was

possible! This is the power o Gods Word; no man cantake credit or these things.

Changed LivesBecause o such high interest, we had to have two

sessions per day. Some people attended both meetings eventhough they were the same!

One such young lady was

19-year-old Veronica, who hadbeen contemplating suicide.

I didnt eel like there wasany meaning in my lie, andmy amily didnt really care

about me. I saw no reasonto live. One day, she waswalking down the street

alone and cried out loud,God, i you are real andcare anything about me, you must show me that you

are real. The very next moment, she noticed a giantbillboard advertisementor our meetings above

her head! Her heartjumped, and with tears

in her eyes she prayedto know more. She

divinely ound one

o the brochurescrumbled nearby

on the ground.

She came every night to both meetings. I have ound in Jesuseverything I have always hoped or, and I cant get enough oHis Word. Even though my lies circumstances are hard, I have

peace that I have never had beore.Another man had been in prison or 11 years. He

began Bible studies with the prison ministries pastor but

wanted to learn more. Then a miracle happenedhewas suddenly released romprison just one day beore

the meetings began! Heattended and gave his lie toChrist through baptism. He

is now working aithullyin a childrens orphanage.

Two other young men alsoresponded to the voice oChrist. Victor was a young

man who had a long historywith drugs and violence.

He thought he was living the lie he always wantedone ull o

money, women, and anything he desired. He soon realized thatthis liestyle led to nothing but emptiness. Desperate or change,he attended the meeting through the invitation o a riend.

When I ound Christ, I ound reedom.

Sergey, a young boxer, had a bright uture ahead ohim in the sport. Unusually talented, he was oered

several proessional opportunities. While visiting hissister ater training, sheshowed him one o the

seminar brochures.I decided to attend

just because she wantedsomeone to go with her.I never knew it would

change my own lie

orever! They bothattended nearly every night

and were baptized together.Though he loved boxing

very much, he decided that wasnt something

God wanted him to pursue anymore. Christ saidto love your enemies, not ght them. He hasgiven it up to take up the cross or Christ. Surely,

the power o the Holy Spirit to change lives isremarkable, and God is moving young people

everywhere to ollow Him in these last days.

A Very Unique Story IndeedOne o the most amazing stories was that o Luda.She had attended a previous seminar but had to go out

o town toward the end. She had almost accepted Christ andjoined His church but hesitated and backed away. She gaveher number to the speaker, and he put it in his cell phone. But

when he went to call her, it was gone! It somehow was deleted.He knew that she desperately needed to come to our seminar.

Several months passed. He shared his burden with our AFCOE

students. The entire school began to pray that they wouldsomehow nd her. Then another miracle happened. Only oneday beore the meetings began, one o the students was on his

way to a local university to pass out invitations. Luda was in herhome, and she elt heavily impressed to go or a walk. Go ora walk? I dont want to go or a walk. I want to take a nap, she

grumbled to hersel. The impression only grew stronger, so shedecided to ollow it thinking God must have a reason.

While outside, she walked right past the student, and

they both stopped at the same time to look back at eachother. He stretched out his hand oering an invitation, notknowing why but eeling that he should. When she saw it, she

immediately recognized that it was similar to the meeting shehad previously attended. She was lled with joy at the thought

that God had led her to that moment. This time, she came

every night except one. For one particular meeting she neededto listen to, she became very sick. I was certain the devil

didnt want me there, and I was so sad that I could not attend.Instead, we brought the meeting to her! She was so thankul,and she knelt down with us in her apartment that evening and

unreservedly dedicated her lie to Christ. She was baptizedsoon ater. The odds that our student would nd her in a cityo 350,000 were slim to none, yet God had a plan or her lie

that the devil could not hinder through lost phone numbers orsickness. She said at her baptism, I am so thankul or Godscompassion, and I know He has a purpose or my lie. I cant

wait to spend eternity with Him!

Just the BeginningAt the end o the series and with the

dedication o our AFCOE Global students, 42

people dedicated their lives to Christ throughbaptism, with several more preparing throughBible studies. What a joy it was to see rsthand

Gods miracle working power in the lives o thesepeople as they overcame every obstacle to come toChrist. It reminds me o this text in the Bible: Look

to Me, and be saved, all you ends o the earth! For Iam God, and there is no other (Isaiah 45:22 NKJV).God ullled His purpose in the lives o these people

when they looked to Him. He deserves all the glory.Today we are now in the third session o AFCOE

Ukraine. Several students are preparing or the next

evangelistic meeting that will take place soon. I havecondence that even greater stories will be told as Godcontinues to work mightily not just in Ukraine, but also in

India, England, and the Philippines later this year and next.Truly Gods message is spreading exponentially as

AFCOE around the world continues to reproduce gospelworkers that will herald and hasten the second coming oJesus. God has surely done great things, but we need much

more! Our desire is to continue planting these schools

everywhere so that many will be trained to share Godslast-day message o mercy with every person.

AFCOE grAduAtE:

glEndOnAs a graduate o the all 2009 AFCOE class, the Lord

has blessed me mightily both spiritually and materially. I

assisted the Ontario Conerence as it conducted evangelistic

training sessions or its 2010 Year o Evangelism initiative. It

was quite a success, with over 50 churches participating andhundreds o precious souls baptized.

Another church asked me to conduct evangelisticmeetings in their community rom October 15 to

December 15, 2010, a total o 26 presentations. Thework began earnestly in June with health seminars, a

cooking school, door-to-door surveys or gaining Bible

study interests, mass media

advertising, and a presence atcommunity events. The Lord

blessed the work mightily, as

we currently have a number o

souls attending a Bible studyclass in preparation or baptism.

Being so involved in the

evangelistic eort or several

months took away rom my timein pursuing a regular income. I held on to the promise

o Mathew 6:2434, that I was to be anxious or nothing

Ater three years o study, I was baptizedinto Gods remnant church. It didnt takeme long to discover that God was callingme to proclaim His message o love to

how this would be possible, but this text brought me hope: Do

not remember the ormer things. ... Behold, I will do a new thing,Now it shall spring orth; I will even make a road in thewilderness And rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18, 19 NKJV).

thE nExt big stEPOnce I settled in my heart to be a soldier or Jesus, I decided

to enlist in the Lords army ull time. To be the best I could be,I needed to learn rom the best. Just like in the Navy, I needed

boot camp-style trainingand AFCOE had it. Since AFCOEtrains committed saints to become rontline soldiers on thebattleeld o the great controversy, God led me there to be under

their tutelage to prepare or His service.I also needed something dynamic, intense, and eective

while learning all aspects o evangelism like public and

personal outreach, preaching, church planting, and biblicalcounseling. A caption in their handbook said it all, Students

do not just learn about their aiththey live and share it. Howcould I not get excited about that? At AFCOE, I ound passionatestudents and enthusiastic instructors with years o experience

in evangelism.

FOllOwing gOdI graduated AFCOE in December 2005 and have been a ull-

time missionary ever since. Today I work as the evangelism

coordinator with the National Association or the Preventiono Starvation (NAPS), a youth ministry based at Oakwood

University. NAPS brings spiritual and physical relie tothousands around the world each year. Ive been privileged

to have had a part in adding 3,000 souls to the kingdom andsome 1,000 youth trained in evangelism rom 2006 to 2011.

Each spring, Thanksgiving,

and Christmas, with a teamo trained NAPS missionaries,

Im blessed to conductcanvassing campaigns;distribute thousands o lie-

changing literature; empoweryouth at juvenile detentioncenters and at elementary and high schools; and share our

mission with churches across America. During the summer,we conduct oreign missions in some o the most neglectedrural places in Arica, including in nations like Zimbabwe,

Madagascar, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, and Liberia.The tools and

Does the Jewish temple need to be

rebuilt before Jesus returns?

With the turmoil threatening the already threadbarestability in the Middle East, many Bible commentators are

beginning to speculate louder than ever about whether

the Jewish temple will be rebuilt in the months and yearsto come. Entire Christian ministries are established to assist in the

building o the temple to hasten the return o Jesus. For many, such

an event will signal the start o the nal events o earths history.However, in the same way many Christians misplace the ocus

rom spiritual Israel to the literal Jewish nation, they are also

conused on the subject o the temple. Most o the speculation ora rebuilt temple springs rom a vague reerence in 2 Thessalonians

2 dealing with the Antichrist power: That day shall not come

[until] that man o sin be revealed, the son o perdition; Whoopposeth and exalteth himsel above all that is called God, or

that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple o God,

shewing himsel that he is God (vs. 3, 4).Many say that or the Antichrist to sit in the temple, it will

obviously have to be rebuilt.

Those who support this belie are known as Christian Zionists,and they include such popular writers as Hal Lindsey, Tim LaHaye,

and John Hagee. Their published book sales exceed 70 million

copiesincluding the popular Let Behindseries. Their belies areendorsed by some o the largest theological colleges and institutions.

But are they correct? To begin, lets go to 1 Chronicles 17:11, 12:

It shall come to pass ... that I will raise up thy seed ater thee, whichshall be o thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build

me an house, and I will stablish his throne or ever. This prophecy

given to King David says his ospring will build the temple. Later, in

1 Chronicles 28:6, God rearms, Solomon thy son, he shall build my

house and my courts.But this text is also one o the clearest examples o a dual

prophecy ound in Scripture. Dual prophecies have both a physical

and spiritual ulllment. Indeed, Solomon, the son o David, builtthe physical temple. But this prophecy also applies spiritually

to Jesus, the true Son o David, who is to build a temple and

kingdom that will last orever.Jesus prophecy that the pride o the Jewish nation, the temple,

would be destroyed inspired the most intense rejection o His

teachings. (See Matthew 24:1, 2.) In Mark 14:58, Jesus says, I willdestroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I

will build another made without hands. O course, Jesus is speakingo rebuilding a templenot o stone and nails, but o living stones(1 Peter 2:5). Yet many reused to grasp this teaching (John 2:20,

21). They even mocked Jesus on the cross regarding His prophecy

(Matthew 27:40).Yet when Jesus died, the veil in the earthly temple ripped in two

rom the top to bottom, signiying that the temple no longer held

meaning. A temple or sacrice today would be as useless as it wasthen, and it would not be the house o God.

The New Testament is replete with the idea that the temple is the

body o Jesus. Ephesians 2:1922 says, Ye are no more strangers and

oreigners, but ellowcitizens with the saints, and o the householdo God: And are built upon the oundation o the apostles andprophets, Jesus Christ himsel being the chie corner stone; In

whom all the building tly ramed together groweth unto an holy

temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together or anhabitation o God through the Spirit. (See also 1 Peter 2:5.)

Even ater God provides all this clear evidence that

His temple is a spiritual one, many Christians are waitingor the Jews to receive a construction permit to rebuild a

physical temple on the site where a Muslim mosque now sits.

However, there is no prophecy, promise, or commandment inthe Bible that says the physical temple would ever be rebuilt

ater the Romans razed it nearly 2,000 years ago.

Ater serving in AFCOE or several years, Tyler Long, with hiswie LaVonne, returned to the road to conduct AmazingFacts Bible prophecy seminars in 2010. They hit the groundrunning, as youll see in this report on their work or the Lord!

e knew that when we made the decision to goback on the road, we would have great stories to

share with all o you. We deeply appreciate those

who support Amazing Facts, which enables us to travel

and share the everlasting gospel with searching people.Our rst seminar was in Modesto, Caliornia, a great

church we had worked with our years beore. One amilycame out aithully each night: a mother, her 18-year-old

son, and his ance. Not only were they completing the

Amazing Facts Study Guides each night, they also weremaking decisions to ollow Jesus. (We run an Amazing

Facts Bible school or each event.)

Halway through the seminar, the young man and hisance were married, and they all made the decision to be

baptized together at the end o the seminar. When Tyler

presented Gods standard or adornment, the son took outhis earplugs right then. He had been stretching his ear

lobes or months and was up to a two-inch diameter plug.

For the rest o the seminar and at his baptism, his earlobeswere hanging quite low because o this popular practice.

Meanwhile, Tyler and I happened to see a cosmetic

procedure on television o another man who alsostretched his earlobes. This particular man was having a

dicult time getting a job due to his appearance. So we

began to pray that somehow, some way, the young mancoming to our seminar could get his earlobes cosmetically

xed. By the end o the seminar, God opened the door or

a Christian cosmetic surgeon to oer his services or ree!God is so good!

No Place UnreachableOur second seminar was in McKinleyville, Caliornia.

The church there had not conducted a reaping series

or over a decade, and many wondered i this orm o

evangelism would work or their community. McKinleyvilleis located in an area rie with atheism and New Age religion.

Yet we knew that Gods gospel was a message or all people,

and by aith we knew it would be lie-changing or many.Tyler also oers to provide practical evangelism training

to the church beore the seminar. Over the weekend, churchmembers learn how to talk with people about Christ,

reach their circle o infuence, and put together a database

o interested individuals in the community. The churchresponded powerully and hadnt known just how much

they needed this training.

An Alaskan-Indian woman was at the post oce theaternoon our seminar was to begin. She had been praying

or something, she did not know what, but she knew she

needed to know God better. As she was leaving, she steppedon a piece o paper. That piece o paper changed her lie. It

was our seminar brochure. When she saw that it was begin-

ning that very night, she changed her plans and attended.Though she lives one hour away in the mountains

above the ocean, she would stay each night in her camper

behind the church. As she began to become acquaintedwith the church members, she even helped with the nightly

beautiul country, God continues to prosper the work

o Amazing Facts in China. Here is just a brie report othe many dierent acets o our work and how God is using your

support to reach people all across the nation o China.

Literature MinistryAlong with our Study Guide book, which contains all our

popular Study Guides, weve added six pocket sermons to our

literature arsenal. Requests or these lie-giving materials come inrom all over China. From the Liaoning Province, a seeker writes:

I want to get the Amazing Facts Study Guide book. Ive just

known God over a year, and I have many Bible questions. I needthese books, and also I want to share them with my classmates

and my ather, so they can be blessed also.

We are now working with 30 to 40 brave colporteurs who sellthese books and our other materials throughout the country.

Depression RecoveryWe are also continuing to work on preparing Dr. Neil Nedleys

depression recovery program into Chinese. Our goal is to launch

a website on depression this year as part o a unique strategy toreach these dear souls through the health ministry.

Just this last winter we conducted a depression recovery

seminar or the doctors and nurses o the neurology departmentin our area. The neurology department chairlady invited us

because she had gone through one o our previous seminars

when she experienced symptoms o depression: atigue, eelingoverwhelmed, and diculty sleeping due to her highly stressul

job and schedule. She ound help through our program and thatopened the door to so many other proessionals in China.

Bible Worker TrainingWe have been studying with young couples who will be the

uture leaders o the church in their communities. Thoughwe cannot preach publically, one o the couples reminded us

that what we taught them privately, they will one day preach

publically. I was joyully surprised one Sabbath when I heardthat what I had shared the week beore was being preached at

another local church. Praise the Lord!

Sharing DVDsThe production and distribution o our rst Chinese-

language DVD, Cosmic Conict, has been a great success and

has been viewed inside and outside o China. As a way to gainthe condence o the people and promote our website, we gave

A Cantonese version also was created bya cooperating mission and an evangelist

edition in English and Chinese was made

As the police sirens grew near, Bobbysriends told him to run, but he reused. He was tired o runningrom his problems; this was it. He was charged with second-degree murder.

While he waited six months in county jail, his home was acell that contained a metal table, a bunk, and a Gideon Bible.On the second day he was there, Bobby picked up a Bible or

the rst time.Although Bobby was raised Catholic, he was no longer

aliated with a church. His amily had been secular and hehad attended public schools. For years, he had been ghting

addictions and running rom his problems. But now he began

I desperately wanted God to be real, Bobby says.The book o Revelation intrigued him because his mind

hen you hear the word infammation, you might think o the

last time you got stung by a bee and the angry red welt that

appeared on your arm. And youd be right. In situations like these, white

blood cells, or macrophages, cluster around a sting, bite, or cut and thearea becomes infamed as the macrophages eat up the inection.

Acute infammation, like in the situation above, is the body s

healthy response to injury, sickness, or chemicals. Its

characterized by redness, swelling, heat, and pain, usually

in a localized area. But new research is uncovering

issues o chronic infammation and the links between

it and disease. Unlike acute infammation, chronic

infammation is invisible.

Chronic Infammation

What causes chronic infammation? Researchers arententirely sure, though obesity plays a role. Some believe its

an immune system gone overboard, as i the on/o switch got

stuck at on. Chronic stress also plays a role by increasing cortisol levels,

which in turn aect insulin levels and metabolism, leading to weight gain.

When stued instead o processed and dealt with, negative thoughts and

eelings can be every bit as toxic to your system as physical stress can be;

research shows a link between depression and stress and infammation.

The typical American diethigh in rened carbohydrates, processed

oods, trans ats, dairy, and animal productsstacks the deck in

infammations avor. Oils high in omega-6 atty acids cause the body

to produce arachidonic acid, which increases infammation. Foods highon the glycemic indexsugar, white four, white potatoes, and other

immune system.

As you can see, chronic infammation is a complex
