Add no before the verb to make commands negative
• Irregular: • Verb-> Usted/Ustedes• Dar-> dé /den• Ir -> vaya /vayan• Saber -> sepa / sepan• Hacer-> haga/hagan• Estar -> esté / estén• Ser -> sea /sean
The definition:• -ísimo/-ísima/-ísimos/ísimas
attaches to adjectives to indicate an extreme degree of a quality: hermosísimo ‘very beautiful’ (hermoso ‘beautiful’)
• Intensifiers: To add emphasis to some adjectives, you can attach the ending ísimo/-ísima/-ísimos/ísimas. If the adjective ends in a vowel drop it before adding the ending.
• When the last consonant is a c, g, or z, spelling changes are required before adding –ísimo(a)(os)(as)
• Examples: • C->qu rico -> riquísimo g->gu largo -> larguísima
• z->c feliz -> felicísimos
Rules:
1. If the adjective ends in a vowel, drop it before adding the ending. – Dulce
• Las fresas son dulcísimas • (remember the ending matches the noun it’s modifying).
2. When the last consonant in the adjective is c, g, or z, spelling changes are required for pronunciation purposes before adding –ísimo (a, os, as)
