Success of pavilion addsvalue to Kuwait’s media

MILAN, Sept 29, (KUNA):Kuwaiti Minister of CabinetAffairs Sheikh MohammadAl-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said Monday nightthat the success of KuwaitPavilion at Expo Milano2015 enhanced the presenceof the Kuwaiti media on theinternational arena and itshumanitarian message to theworld.

Speaking to KUNA and KuwaitTV on the occasion of his visit toMilan, Sheikh Mohammad said: “It’sa great honor for me to represent HisHighness the Prime Minister SheikhJaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at Kuwait National Day, beingorganized on the sidelines of ExpoMilano 2015.

“Kuwait is keen on participation inthis global expo, which takes placeevery five years; its pavilion thisyear was neatly organized to show-case the country’s heritage and styleof life in the past and in the present,which was greatly admired by thevisitors and organizers of the Expo,”he said.

“The pavilion was a complete suc-cess and attracted nearly one millionvisitors from Italy and other parts of theworld over the last few weeks. This is asource of pride for all of us,” SheikhMohammad went on.

“Undoubtedly, this great achieve-ment adds value to the march of theKuwaiti media,” the minister said,expressing thanks to the organizers andstaffers of the pavilion and the sidelineevents.

He also appreciated the presence ofKuwaiti public celebrities, intelli-gentsia, and media people at the specialevent of Kuwait National Day, notingthat their attendance was of great sig-nificance to Kuwait’s status at the glob-al Expo.

On Wednesday, September 30,Sheikh Mohammad and representa-tive of Italian prime minister arescheduled to attend Kuwait NationalDay at the celebration center of theExpo, where cultural and artistic per-formances will be given, and then thetwo will visit the Italian and theKuwaiti pavilions.

Bohemod lauds Al-Saeed

Arab envoys council honoursoutgoing Kuwaiti ambassador PARIS, Sept 29, (KUNA): Council ofArab Ambassadors in France onTuesday hosted a ceremony in honor ofthe outgoing Dean of the ArabDiplomatic Corps, Kuwait’sAmbassador Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed onthe occasion of ending his tenure.

Deputy Dean of the Arab DiplomaticCorps, Libyan Ambassador ShaibaniBohemod, praised in a speech duringthe ceremony the important role playedby Ambassador Al-Saeed during hisDeanship of the diplomatic corps insupport of joint Arab action and tohighlight the issues and topics of inter-est to the Arab world in an importantcapital such as Paris. Bohemod alsopraised the role of the State of Kuwaitin the service of Arab issues and the

promotion of joint Arab cooperation.The Libyan diplomat presented a

commemorative gift in recognition ofAmbassador Al-Saeed’s efforts on thisoccasion.

For his part, Al-Saeed thanked theCouncil of Arab Ambassadors for theceremony, stressing at the same timethe desire of the State of Kuwait on thePermanent Arab reunion and coordina-tion with regard to joint Arab actionand wished the Arab Group success infuture work. During the ceremony, theambassadors discussed the French-Arab relations in general and the chal-lenges facing the region in the presenceof all the Arab ambassadors in Parisand a number of officials from theFrench Foreign Ministry.
