A Driller is responsible for measuring and monitoring the core point and ensuring the safety of the crew. They are also responsible for inspecting all core equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. The Driller is responsible for operating the service rig hoisting equipment via the operators console. He must be familiar with the BOP 4. system, filling out paperwork, conducting safety drills and transporting crew to and from the rig. The Operator develops well-trained and safety conscious crew members by enforcing rules and maintaining communication with Rig Manager and Crew.
