Dear Ms. Goldstein:
On behalf of BP West Coast Products, LLC. (BP), ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) is
pleased to submit this Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, Second Quarter
2012 for the above referenced facility (the “Site”). The Site currently operates as the
Lynnwood Convention Center located at 3711 196th Street, Lynnwood, Washington.
The next groundwater monitoring event is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.

Work Performed this Quarterly Reporting Period (Second Quarter 2012):
1. On May 17, and May 18, 2012, ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) conducted quarterly groundwater
monitoring activities at the Site. During this event, monitoring wells MW-7a, MW-7b, MW-9 and MW-13
were gauged and MW-6, MW-7c, MW-8, MW-10, MW-11, MW-12, MW-14, MW-15, MW-16, MW-
17,and MW-18 were gauged and sampled using one well volume purge methodology with disposable
bailers (field data sheets are included as Attachment A). Groundwater samples were analyzed for
gasoline range organics (GRO) by Northwest Method TPH-G Extended (NWTPH-Gx) benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) by EPA Method 8260B,
and total lead by EPA 200.7. Current and historical groundwater gauging data and current and
historical groundwater analytical data are summarized in Table 1. The laboratory analytical report and
chain-of-custody information for the sampling event are included as Attachment B. Approximately 35
gallons of purge water was generated during groundwater sampling activities. The water was
consolidated in a drum on site pending analysis.
Work Proposed for Next Quarterly Reporting Period (Third Quarter 2012):
1. Conduct third 2012 quarterly groundwater monitoring event
2. Submit the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, third Quarter 2012 to Ecology

Quarterly Groundwater
Monitoring Report,
Second Quarter 2012
Former ARCO Facility No. 00862 August 15, 2012
Discussion:
During the second quarter of 2012, groundwater conditions at the Site remained generally consistent with
previous sampling events. Depths to groundwater during this sampling event ranged between 7.58 and 35.19
feet below top of well casing (btoc) in monitoring wells MW-18 and MW-17, respectively. Groundwater gauging
data is presented in Table 1.
Groundwater samples were collected from 11 monitoring wells during this sampling event. Concentrations of
GRO above MTCA Level A Cleanup Levels (CULs) were detected in groundwater samples collected from
monitoring wells MW-7c (2,410 μg/L), MW-11 (15,600 μg/L), and MW-12 (8,610 μg/L). Benzene was detected
above CULs in the samples collected from monitoring wells MW-7c (17.8 μg/L), MW-11 (18.7 μg/L), and MW-12
(2,310 μg/L). Toluene was not detected above MTCA A CULs for groundwater in the samples collected.
Ethylbenzene was detected above CULs in well MW-12 (1,110 μg/L). Total xylenes, total lead and MTBE were
not detected above MTCA A CULs for groundwater in the samples collected.
Groundwater Monitoring Program:
Groundwater monitoring wells that were gauged and sampled during this event will be gauged and sampled on
a quarterly basis. Groundwater monitoring wells were sampled utilizing one well volume purge sampling
techniques. ARCADIS anticipates using similar methodologies during the next monitoring event.

QUALIFIERS
Pace Project No.:
Project:
2512221
WA-0862
DEFINITIONS
DF - Dilution Factor, if reported, represents the factor applied to the reported data due to changes in sample preparation, dilution ofthe sample aliquot, or moisture content.
ND - Not Detected at or above adjusted reporting limit.
J - Estimated concentration above the adjusted method detection limit and below the adjusted reporting limit.
MDL - Adjusted Method Detection Limit.
PRL - Pace Reporting Limit.
RL - Reporting Limit.
S - Surrogate
1,2-Diphenylhydrazine (8270 listed analyte) decomposes to Azobenzene.
Consistent with EPA guidelines, unrounded data are displayed and have been used to calculate % recovery and RPD values.
LCS(D) - Laboratory Control Sample (Duplicate)
MS(D) - Matrix Spike (Duplicate)
DUP - Sample Duplicate
RPD - Relative Percent Difference
NC - Not Calculable.
SG - Silica Gel Clean-Up
N-Nitrosodiphenylamine decomposes and cannot be separated from Diphenylamine using Method 8270. The result reported foreach analyte is a combined concentration.
Pace Analytical is TNI accredited. Contact your Pace PM for the current list of accredited analytes.
TNI - The NELAC Institute.
