GOD’S PROMISE TO ALL PEOPLE

Today Isaiah reminds the people of God that the land

shall be restored to their possession, they shall rejoice to

see their people return from the bondage of exile, and that

they shall be a light to the nations. In other words, through

the people of Israel, the Savior shall come to all people

who seek God with a sincere heart. This brings joy and the

radiance of God’s glory to all the world and to all people

everywhere. Through the fidelity of the people of God,

and through God’s fidelity to them, all people shall become

God’s children and rejoice in the fulfillment of God’s

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

Como los Magos ofrecen sus regalos de oro, incienso y

mirra, nosotros ofrecemos a Cristo todos nuestros trabajos y

dolores, nuestras enfermedades y preocupaciones, nuestros

tesoros y nuestras familias. Cuando ofrecemos estas cosas,

Dios las santifica y las hace sagradas. Nuestras vidas e incluso

nuestros sufrimientos tienen un significado porque tenemos a

Dios con nosotros y a nuestro lado. Nuestro "oro" y los

tesoros que poseemos son bendiciones de Dios, permítanos

usarlos bien y compartirlos con otros. El incienso es un signo

del sacerdocio: nuestro sacerdocio del pueblo proviene del

único sacerdocio de Cristo que ofreció su vida como sacrificio.

Que Dios bendiga nuestras vidas mientras nos esforzamos por

proclamar y vivir nuestra fe diariamente en palabras y obras,

haciendo sacrificios para hacer lo correcto por el bien de

nuestras familias y para los demás. La mirra es una especia

utilizada para ungir un cuerpo muerto; como un regalo para el

Señor, es una señal de que este niño Cristo sufrirá y morirá por

la humanidad. Sin embargo, es en Su muerte que cada uno de

nosotros es redimido y nuestros pecados perdonados.

Agradecemos a Cristo por su sacrificio y nosotros también

unimos nuestros sufrimientos a los suyos para redimirnos a

nosotros mismos y al mundo. Cuando ofrecemos nuestros

sufrimientos y dolor, Dios hace uso de él y lo convierte en una

gracia salvadora, una gracia que compensa nuestros pecados y

puede elevar a otros. Que podamos ofrecer todo lo que

tenemos y todo lo que somos a medida que seguimos la luz de

Cristo durante todo el año.

LA PROMESA DE DIOS A TODOS

Hoy Isaías le recuerda al pueblo de Dios que recuperará

su tierra, que se alegrará al ver que las personas regresan del

cautiverio del exilio y que será una luz para todos los

pueblos. En otras palabras, por medio del pueblo de Israel,

el Salvador llegará a todos los pueblos que buscan a Dios

con un corazón sincero. Esto traerá la alegría y el resplandor

de la gloria de Dios a todo el mundo y a todos los pueblos.

Gracias a la fidelidad del pueblo de Dios y, gracias a la

fidelidad de Dios con ellos, todos serán sus hijos y se
