WE LCOME
Dear riders,
Welcome to the 7th edition of the Arctic Race of Norway and to the Arctic Heroes of Tomorrow race!
The Arctic Race of Norway is the northernmost race in the world, and this year it takes place in the beautiful Lofoten
archipelago, with afinish in Narvik at the bottom of the slopes that may host the 2027 Alpine Ski World Championships.
Equinor ASA has been the main partner of the race since the very first edition, which took place in 2013. We are proud
to support the professional race and together with Arctic Race of Norway and the Norwegian Cycling Association
we are especially pleased to invite young talents as well to the biggest international regional competition of the
year for junior road cycling teams.
In Equinor, we believe it’s not only what you deliver, but also how you deliver, that matters. Our core values are
courageous, open, collaborative and caring. These are values we believe are essential in achieving our goals and good
results delivered in the right way. And for young talents such as yourself, we believe the same values are essential
in achieving your goals and also in your efforts at developing as athletes and great team mates.
This year the Arctic Heroes of Tomorrow race will host riders from Norway, France, Finland, England, Germany and
Scotland. Our Heroes of Tomorrow Ambassador Thor Hushovd will also be present at the race and share his expe-
riences with all of you.
We hope this race and event will help you learn and develop as well as being an inspiration and motivation to further
develop your talents.
We wish you the best of luck in the race and look forward to seeing you in Narvik!
Sincerely,
Equinor - Heroes of Tomorrow
The success of Equinor is down to individuals with the ability and desire to think outside the
box. Individuals who strive to make the impossible possible, individuals with the skil ls and
determination to achieve remarkable results. It is individuals like these who hold the key to
a successful future – not just for our company but also for society as a whole. We like to call
them Heroes of Tomorrow, heroes who inspire us and bring us together, such as high achievers
in the fields of sports and culture. However, because our world is facing major challenges, we
also need highly skilled professionals to help us progress in the future. That is why Equinor is
supporting the Heroes of Tomorrow in sports, culture and education. We are proud to support
those who will thrill us with remarkable achievements in the years to come.

The Arctic Heroes of Tomorrow Race brings young talents together during the Arctic Race of
Norway, and helps them to fulfil their dreams as athletes. I had the opportunity to fulfil mines,
becoming the first Norwegian cyclist to wear the Yellow Jersey on the Tour de France, this
is why I am now very proud to contribute to the development of these young cyclists and to
share my experience with them. They are given the opportunity to ride on the same challenging
circuit in Narvik as some of the best cyclists in the world and to compete with young talents
from other countries, which can represent a major milestone in their young career. The Arctic
Heroes of Tomorrow Race has proven to be a catalyst for some now-famous cyclists such as
Kristoffer Halvorsen or Susanne Andersen, so keep an eye on the race: you may see here the
star of tomorrow’s cycling.
Norwegian Cyc l ing Federation
Norwegian cyclists continue to make an impression in international cycling. This is the result
of years of serious work in clubs that are well organized.
The Arctic Heroes of Tomorrow Race are a unique opportunity to create real team spirit and
strengthen top athletes in the different regions of Norway.
" The Heroes of Tomorrow Race is a very important contribution to the development of our
sport and the international dimension is exciting. The collaboration with the Arctic Race of
Norway and the substantial support from Equinor, provides special opportunities for our
athletes " says the President of the Norwegian Cycling Federation, Mr. Jan-Oddvar Sørnes.
The Arctic Heroes of Tomorrow Race is a team competition, and the best team is going home
with 29.750 NOK (3,100 Euro). In addition to individual champions in both competitions,
the total amount of prize money is 60.000 NOK, presented by Equinor and the Heroes of
Tomorrow fund.
