Are you Guilty of Saying (or Believing) Its JUST a Job?Its NOT JUST a Job

If youve ever said to yourself or someone else Its JUST a Job you need to stop that right now.You are trying to rationalize why you shouldnt be unhappy with your job.

Here are the problems with this statement:- Your job or career is the largest consumer of your life. When a big chunk of your life isnt working, youre miserable.

We are emotionally invested in our work even if we like to think we arent.

Youre avoiding making tough decisions. Sure, changing jobs or resolving problems is hard work but most good things dont just drop in your lap.

Stop saying or believing Its JUST a job because its much more than that.1

Take control of your happiness. Take classes on conflict and confrontation to interact differently with the boss and others.2

Change jobs. If you cant improve your situation, then find a new job. 3

Learn to change. If you can become change-ready, you will discover that change can be exciting and you wont stay in a bad situation one day longer when things go bad.4

Find positive people. They may see things differently than you and sometimes all we need is a new perspective.5

Your life and all of the things in it are too precious to spend it being unhappy. Trying to pretend that your job doesnt matter is time spent not doing something to move it toward your dream job.
