I first encountered the company through

my college alumni group. When I learned

as many as 95% of mobile phones use at

least one ARM processor, I knew this was

where I wanted to work. And the reality

has definitely matched my expectations.

The global graduate conference was

a particularly great experience, giving

graduate engineers across design centersa brilliant forum to communicate. And

of course, working daily with leading

technologies is really rewa rding.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENTR&D is a big deal at

ARM. We invest millions

of dollars in researching

and developing

new products and

propositions.

As part of our research activities, we

collaborate closely with universities

right around the world. And we have a

number of key areas of innovation when

it comes to product development. Right

now were working on the delivery of yet

more energy-efficient, high-performance

compute engines for both data and control

applications, based on heterogenous or

symmetric multiprocessing and superscalar

technology-bas ed designs.

With a global work force, the IT groups

role is diverse and a key to ARMs success.

The team is involved in a vast range of

activities. From building high performance

computing infrastructures in multi-award

winning green data centres, to pioneering

work on new, highly efficient server

architectures, through to ensuring we get

the best val ue from leading-edge m obile

computing. We offer a two-year rotation

program that will give you a taste of every

part of IT and, in consultation with us, help

you focus your career on a specific area.


It can be a bit daunting in the beginning,

but as soon as you reach a tipping point,

everything just comes rushing at you and

you just want to learn more and more.

So by the time you feel like you have

a very good understanding of each

discipline, the rotation is over and you

move on to the next one. And as teams
