Undercarriage and wheels cleaning

Clean the main and nose undercarriaqe as

well as the main and nose undercarriage

mechanical locks with a clean cloth. If

the undercarriage is heavily soiled with

mud, clean it with water. When soiled

with oil or lubricant, degrease it with

a cloth wetted in petroleum spirit.

Wash the disassembled main

undercarriage wheel with the brake and

the front undercarriage wheel, proposed

for the repair, in the clean water.

On heavy contamination (with oil and

sim.) clean the wheel with a cloth

wetted in the petroleum spirit.

Check the main and front undercarriage,

mechanical locks of the main and front

undercarriage. In case of serious

defects replace the defective part with

a new one.

Check the wheel of main undercarriage.

Following defects are nor permitted but

if they do occur the main wheel must be

replaced with a new one:

- cracks found out during the visual check of left (right) wheel part

- damage or corrosion exceeding 0.2 mm in the place of tyre base and in the

place of the sealing groove of the

wheel left (right) part

- damage or corrosion in external side of the wheel castings left (right) side

exceeding 0.5 mm

- loosen external ring of the bearings

in the left (right) wheel part
