thon the valediction day, 11 Oct 2014, in the evening.The runner up trophy for Inter-Institute cultural competition was won by Army Institute of Education, Greater NOIDA.The Chief Guest of Valedictory function Brig A.K. Dutta urged the contestants to look beyond win or loss to be truly able to enjoy the spirit of participation.

The two day Western Command Youth Festival-2014, was formally inaugurated

th at the campus Auditorium on 10 Oct 2014

AWES Youth Fest is a platform on which the fraternity of dependents of Army Personnel studying in various AWES institutes meet, interact and showcase their talents in sports & other activities. All the five AWES run professional colleges under Western Command participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.Following five institutes were a part of the festival:-(a) AIMT, Greater NOIDA(b) ACMS, Delhi Cantt(c) ACN, Jalandhar (d) AIL, Mohali

AIE had the honour to host and organize the two day long Western Command AWES Youth Fest - 2014th th

on 10 & 11 Oct 2014, at Greater NOIDA.

VISIT OF ARMY DIGNITARIES.....Maj Gen Abhay Krishna AVSM, SM, VSM, COS HQ Delhi Area and Chairman AIE, Greater Noida visited the college and interacted with

Adjutant General Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, AVSM, VSM visited AIE Greater

thNOIDA on 08 Oct 2014.

thstudents on 30 Oct 2014.

Maj Gen PP Singh, MG ASC, HQ Western Comd visited AIE for the Adm & Tech inspection on

th18 Nov 2014.

Mrs Neetu Kapoor, Principal, G D Goenka Public School interacted with the students of

thAIE on 29 Sep 2014. She guided the students about how to face the interviews for the teaching profession.

Dr (Mrs) Neelu Panag Khanna, counsellor of ACMS interacted with the students of

ndAIE on 22 Sep 2014, to counsel them on different issues.

A two day workshop on ‘Orientation to School Experience Prog.’ Was conducted by Ms Shyda Rana Head FDRC, and Dr Geetika Datta, Faculty, FDRC, HQ AWES New

st ndDelhi on 21 -22 Aug 2014.

A t w o d ay ‘ Fa c u l t y Development Programme’ was organized in AIE. Col DH Verma and Dr Datta P r a s a d f r o m A n a n d Ashram Kerala conducted the workshop on ‘ Value Integrated Teaching & Learning’ i.e. VITAL on

th th19 and 20 Aug 2014. Ten teachers also participated in the FDP from nearby schools of Greater NOIDA.

A six day yoga workshop was conducted by Mr Ram C h a n d r a B h a s k a r , President Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan (Greater Noida ) for the students of AIE

An Art & Craft was organized for the

thstudents on 30 Aug 2014 conducted by Mr Pramod Sharma, from Central Institute of Education & Training, NCERT, Delhi.

An awareness program on “Gender Inequality and Sexual Harassment at Workplace” was organized for the students

thof AIE on 11 Dec 2014. The Chief speakers were Dr Anila Singh (a prominent social activist), Dr S.K Pandey (Jailor of Kasana Jail) and Dr Upasana Singh (Founder of Human Touch Foundation).

A guest lecture on “Unity in Diversity” was delivered by Ms Kevilenuo Tapa, Asst Prof (PGDAV College), and Mr Pranjal Protim Barua, Asst Prof (Moti Lal Nehru College), University of Delhi at Army Institute of

Board Decoration CompetitionTo see the hidden talents of its pupil teachers Army Inst i tute of Educat ion , Greater NOIDA conducted an “Inter house display board decoration competition” on

th30 Aug 2014.Every house gave their best to decorate these boards. In this competition Pratishtha house got first position, there was a tie between Pragya & Pratigya House for the second position and Pragyanam house got the third position. These masterpieces were colourful, witty, and creative and were showing legitimate learning outcomes.

For conducting the teaching practice in schools; 3 schools from Delhi cantt and 6 from Greater NOIDA were arranged.

Ganesh ChaturthiA s p e c i a l A s s e m b l y o n ‘ G a n e s h Chaturthi’ was conducted in AIE

thon 29 Aug 2014.

Blood Donation CampA Blood donation Camp was organized in AIE on

th13 Aug 2014 around 60 units of blood was donated by AIE students and staff members. It was a big success with very enthusiastic response from the students as well as staff of AIE.

PanchwatiA Herbal Garden “Panchwati” was inaugurated by Prof M.C. Sharma (Director, IGNOU) in campus, being developed in collaboration with “Human Touch Foundation”.

Visit to JailFew students of AIE, Greater NOIDA presented a nukkad natak for the female inmates of Distt Jail, Kasna, Gautam Budh Nagar. The purpose of nukkad natak was to make the inmates aware about the importance of education in their life.

Pot Decoration CompetitionrdOn August 23 2014, a

“pot decoration competition” was held. The houses are Pragya House, Pratishtha house, Pragyanam house, Pratigya house. Certificates were given to winners.

Independence Day Army Institute of Education Greater NOIDA showed innate cultures of different states of

thIndia by organizing a cultural program GLIMPSES OF INDIA on 14 Aug 2014 to celebrate Independence Day in a unique manner. It was a magnificent programme and was enjoyed by all the participants and faculty members of AIE. The various cultures and traditions of different states such as Assam, U.P, Gujarat, Kerala, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab and West Bengal were represented by the students in a very eminent and beautiful way.

?Team AIE, won Bronze medal in Inter college thBasketball tournament held on 12 Oct 2014 in GGSIP
