WEEK FIVE

JULY 29–AUG 2Painting Our CommunityLearn about a wonderful medium that will let you sketch and paint your summer holidays. Using the beautiful scenery by our art studio, students will learn watercolour techniques from the ground up. All students take home a framed watercolour painting.

WEEK SIX

AUG 6–9Big BugsThis week we focus on the incredible world of bugs. We will learn about symmetry, line and pattern while creating your own big bug painting and bug sculptures.

WEEK SEVEN

AUG 12–16Art with NatureSummer in BC is the best! We will explore the wonderful treasures that Ambleside Beach and Park have to offer and collect found objects to use for your art work. Budding artists will learn new ways to create paint brushes and how to paint with sand. Make Artmania’s famous sand bowls and draw and paint at the beach too! WEEK EIGHT

AUG 19–23FlowersExplore the beautiful gardens around our art studio at the Silk Purse Art Centre. This week is dedicated to flowers. We will go on excursions to the beach and the surrounding gardens to find flowers to draw, paint and sculpt.Painting and drawing, sculpture, mixed-media

AUG 26–30WindThis week is dedicated to learning about the wind. Our campers will start investigating the wind with hands-on activities and will then be guided by our Artmania teachers to use their observations to create wind-inspired art. Science, painting, sculpture, mixed-media
