E. Özgörkey Group

E. Özgörkey Group which was established in 1951 engages in various sectors, mainlythe beverages sector and performed the production, sales, marketing and distribution ofthe products of the Coca-Cola Company to the Aegean and Mediterranean regionsbetween 1968-1998. Currently having significant investments in the automotive, tourism,hotel management and construction industries, E. Özgörkey Group has carried its experience more than half a century to the agriculture and food sectors with Özgörkey Gıda that was established in 1998.

Özgörkey Gıda

Özgörkey Gıda, has presented Feast, one of the leading and innovative brands of the frozen food sector to the consumers, by putting into operation the biggest and the most modern integrated frozen food production facility founded in Torbalı district of Izmir in 2000 upon completion the construction less than two years which has been started in 1998. Exportingits products more than 20 countries in 4 continents, Özgörkey Gıda provides services in the channel of non-domestic consumer where it is the leader to the primary and prestigious brands of the sector in the sector of non-domestic consumer channel since the day it was founded with its 30% market share. Entering national retail market at the beginning of 2008,Feast is now the most innovative and developing brand of the market. As one of the most important entities of the Turkish food sector, Özgörkey Gıda employs 800 people at itsTorbalı facilities. In addition, it realized production through 1.000 farmers on a contractbasis on a land of 36.000 acres in 2013.

Öztar

Özgörkey Gıda deals with activities in the agriculture sector based on food. Öztar Tohumculuk which was established in 2003 in order to perform research and development activities onseed growing and agriculture, continues its activities at 1.500 m2 of greenhouse area and research laboratories established in its Izmir Torbalı Facilities. The company is granted a special research certificate issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.

AtaKey Gıda

As a joint investment of E. Özgörkey Group with Ata Holding, the foundations of AtaKey Gıda Production Facility were laid down in Afyon in 2013. The facility performed its first production in March 2014. The cost of investment for AtaKey Gıda exceeded 60 million Euros and the total potato production capacity of Özgörkey Gıda facilities reaches up to the level of 150.000 tons with AtaKey Gıda. Currently, AtaKey Gıda is not only the strongest production capacity with the highest capacity of Turkey but also the neighboring countries and the Middle East.The targets of AtaKey Gıda is to become the only leading player of the domestic market, demonstrate outstanding performance in global competition and become the brand carryingthe Turkish flag in terms of agricultural products as the regional power.

Cake Studio

Without decelerating its investments, Özgörkey Gıda entered into the frozen cake category in 2012 and in line with this, it merged with Cake Studio. Cake Studio brand established bytwo female entrepreneurs in Kalamış, Istanbul 8 years ago at a 50 m2 of small pastry workshop was included in the group in 2012. After the brand became a member of Özgörkey Gıda family, the production at the new pastry business established at Izmir, Torbalı Production Facility of Özgörkey began June 2014. Currently, Özgörkey Gıda is the leading andmarket creator brand of the retail pastry category.

The Facility

The facility of Özgörkey Gıda established in 1.000.000 m2 of area with 100.000 m2 of covered facility has the capacity of processing 100.000 tons of potatoes, fruit, vegetables and bakery products in a year. At the facility of Özgörkey Gıda which is the biggest frozen food production facility of Turkey, it is possible to stock totally 30.000 tons of packaged products in thefully computerized cold storage depots which were put into service in 2006.

Technology

At the modern facilities where the most advanced technology is utilized, each stage of the production from raw material entry to storing is controlled by a computer network.

High Production Standards

There are totally four laboratories as the Raw Material, Process Control, Microbiology and Final Product at the Quality Assurance Department of Özgörkey Gıda. The Quality Assurance Department carries out its activities in order to ensure customer satisfaction, controls any phase of production very carefully and ensures that the products with highest quality are presented to the consumers after all physical, chemical and microbiological analyses are performed. Özgörkey Gıda established ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005 and British Retail Consortium (BRC) quality assurance and food safety systems in order to preventthe potential risks before hand by using the food production technology which guaranteesthe consumer health beginning from the raw material supply.

Research and Development - R&D

Özgörkey Gıda carries out its research and development studies through permanent improvement and development activities by taking the expectations, requirements and recommendations of its current and potential customers into consideration. The Research and Development Staff of Özgörkey Gıda bringing innovations to the retail market of Turkey, performs new product launchings in a wide range of products from pastry to vegetables,fish to the first “snack” products of the frozen food category.
