Listening to People with Arthritis: Top Trends from Early Research
Listening to People with Arthritis: Top Trends from Early Research
• Pain: #1 barrier – and motivator• Medications: A love-hate relationship• Knowledge ≠ Action • Achievability is a motivator• Self-management : “I’ll try it if I believe it”• It’s not just physical! • Arthritis ≠ top priority
Most health-care info comes from doctors and health care providers, followed by family/friends and Internet.

FeedbackFeedback• Online Training
– Working well - no major issues• In-Person Training
– Training material is a little redundant – Overall training has gone well and leaders are excited
• Marketing and Program Materials– Suggestion to increase the font for the WWE brochure– Bigger logo on backpacks– Instructors appreciate laminated posters (some sites are
laminating the posters for their leaders)– Suggestion to revise WWE page on letsmovetogether.org (in the
process)– Materials are taking a little longer to get to sites than anticipated
(at least 2 weeks are needed to ensure delivery on time without expediting the order)
• Overall pilot sites and instructors are pleased and find that it is easier to find partners and participants for WWE. We are delivering a program they want!
