ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, Chain and 5g networks: Only at IOTHINGS MILAN 2018 the INTERNET OF Things is 4.0

Milan, 12th April 2018. Over 2200 participants, including 109 companies including sponsors, partners and exhibitors from 15 countries worldwide. A heterogeneous audience, both Italian and international, who participated in the 19 calendar events to listen to the 196 speakers involved and who gathered in the spectacular location of the Palazzo del Ice on the 10th and 11th April.

IOTHINGS Milan has proposed an integrated and organic conference program with respect to the many issues existing within the Internet of things. There has been talk of the most innovative IoT technology areas, but also of applications in markets of high interest such as Industry 4.0 and Internet of Energy. Special attention has been paid to IoT Cybersecurity in the light of the arrival of GDPR, as well as embedded technologies that are at the heart of all IoT applications and the themes of Smart cities.

IOTHINGS Milan is the first Italian event to present an area – ITALIA 5G - dedicated to the arrival of the next communication networks and that sees the institutions and the most representative operators to define how to accelerate the development of 5G and its Ecosystem of companies, through a roadmap that starts from the invitations to tender of 2018.

Also in IOTHINGS was held the second edition of BLOCKCHAIN NOW, event launched with great success in September 2017 and that in this edition spoke for the first time of IOTA, the Cryptovaluta dedicated to IoT and the nascent Internet of Trust.

After the launch in 2017 has consolidated EMBEDDED IOT, the new area that is aimed at R&D managers, electronic designers and firmware developers who so have the opportunity to access, in a single event, a formidable technological update having all the HW and SW IoT represented.

The IOENERGY area – which analyses the technologies and business models of "Internet of Energy" as an enabling factor for innovative services – has hosted in conference representatives of associations, research and important utilities committed to discussing the Challenges and opportunities in offering innovative services focused on the experience of the final customer. The fourth edition of ESCO TECH Forum has also taken place, realized in collaboration with ASSOESCo, an event aimed at all the operators in the sector interested in deepening the technologies that allow to realize the energy efficiency.

IOTHINGS Milan has once again hosted the Chief IoT Officer Summit, an exclusive meeting dedicated to this new figure that guides the Digital Transformation of things in the user companies. A key figure in the "disruption" of business models and organizational modalities of companies also using Design thinking and the ecosystem of startups, well represented at the event, through programs of Open innovation.

Among the events hosted are the partnership with the IOT/WT Innovation World Cup ® – The most important international competition that for 14 years has rewarded the best startups IOT and that has seen

some of the winners 2018 on stage in Milan-and the launch of the second edition of Smart City Now, an event created by the Cluster Technologies Foundation for the Smart Cities & Communities Lombardy, to be held next September 25th in the prestigious setting of Villa La Valera in Arese.

The exhibition area has been animated by the presence of important international players and specialized companies that have represented the complete IoT chain, in the hardware, software and integrated services components. The exclusive and scenic location of the Palazzo del Ghiaccio was the ideal theatre for demonstrations that took place in the Live experience area, where visitors were able to experience firsthand the most innovative applications.
