Our full line of lift products and expertise in all forms of lift enable us to better evaluate your needs and design a system for maximum run life and production. We integrate key technologies and combine the strengths of different forms of lift.

Pumping all forms of lift expertise into your well.

Reciprocating rod-lift systemsWeatherford is the only OEM offering completely integrated rod-lift systems, including surface and subsurface equipment plus pumping unit service, repair and refurbishment—all unmatched in the industry.

Our rod-lift systems have a history of proven reliability while giving operators the flexibility to reuse various components in different well applications. We have virtually every rod-lift component. Our complete range of API and specialty rod pumps can be matched to specific well conditions, including sandy, gaseous and high-viscosity applications:

• Conventional pumping units• Rotaflex® long-stroke 28-ft (8.5-m) units • Nitrogen-over-hydraulic units for heavier loads, using less energy• Low-profile pumping units

Gas-lift systemsWeatherford’s gas-lift systems offer exceptional economic value and flexibility in offshore, deepwater continuous- and intermittent-flow applications. We are continually expanding valve technology and developing hybrid-lift systems. Our full range of capabilities includes waterflood and chemical injection:

• Extensive line of wireline and tubing-retrievable gas-lift valves, mandrels and accessories

• Coiled-tubing gas-lift equipment for special applications

• Wide range of chemical- injection equipment

• Complete family of surface controls, from variable time-cycle controllers to motor valves and chokes

Plunger-lift systemsLifting powered by your well’s natural energy makes plunger-lift systems highly cost efficient for a variety of applications and conditions ranging from loading gas wells to high-ratio oil wells. Excellent corrosion and gas handling capabilities make these systems ideal for production enhancement, particularly in high-GLR wells.

• Complete range of compatible components, including

plungers, bumper springs, lubricators, controllers

and accessories• Complete family of surface controls featuring our intelligent CEO™ Three controller, capable of operating intermittently or as a

fully automated closed-loop control system

Progressing cavity pumping systemsThe right solution for sand-laden, heavy crude oil and horizontal, slanted, directional or vertical wellbores, our PCP systems provide excellent overall system efficiency and performance:

• Portable, low-profile and lightweight surface equipment• Downhole PCPs with no internal valves to clog gas-lock• Application specific elastomers for demanding well conditions• Wellhead drives for virtually all combinations of torque and speed• Comprehensive family of sucker rods, including exclusive COROD®

continuous rod

Hydraulic-lift systemsOur hydraulic-lift systems are ideal for high-volume, high-depth environments and a broad range of other applications. Both jet and piston hydraulic-lift systems are available. Extraordinary installation flexibility meets a broad range of requirements, with operating depths from 5,000 to 17,000 ft (1,524 to 5,182 m) and volumes from 50 to 15,000 BFPD.

• Both jet and piston pumps can operate multiple wells from a single package.

• Pumps can be hydraulically circulated to the surface to dramatically reduce well downtime and eliminate pulling-unit expenses.

• Surface packages are available in single- or dual-vessel designs.

• Subsurface pumps and coiled-tubing pumps are available.

Electric submersible pumping (ESP) systemsWe provide complete ESP solutions for the life of your well with full responsibility for the entire job—well design, engineering, installation, fine-tuning and commissioning. Expect best-in-class and low-cost-per-barrel performance for high-volume lift requirements (100 to 30,000 BFPD); deep, hot and/or deviated wells; waterfloods or high-water-cut wells and other applications. ESP systems answer the need for limited offshore surface footprints.

• Full range of systems for 5 1/2-in. casing and larger

• High-efficiency motors and multistage centrifugal pumps

• Rotary and vortex gas separators

• The latest in motor controllers and variable-speed drives

Capillary injection systemsPrecision-engineered, lift-producing chemical technology and services feature exclusive injection equipment technologies and a complete suite of proprietary and patented W-CAP® certified chemicals. Weatherford conducts a thorough candidate selection evaluation, which includes careful analyses of produced well fluids and the producing environment. No guesswork. This ensures the optimal solution for maximizing production, protecting tubulars, reducing the number of workovers and controlling chemical costs. Average payback: 30 to 60 days.

• Pinpoint delivery of foaming agents and surfactants to unload fluids• Inhibitors placed to control corrosion and scale at the source• Production chemicals placed at the sources of salt and paraffin buildup • Chemicals and alloy selections for H2S and CO2 control

Systematic approach to artificial-lift solutions.Selecting the right lifting configuration and system for a specific well or field requires an in-depth analysis of well conditions, field and client requirements, equipment capabilities and associated costs. Weatherford specialists bring together their expertise across all forms of lift to determine the most cost-effective solution and system/equipment match for maximum performance and production enhancement.

Values represent typical characteristics and ranges for each form of artificial lift. Parameters will vary according to well situations and requirements and must be evaluated on a well-by-well basis.
