Jul 2010 – to date: - Projects Manager with M/s GECO M & E LLC Sharjah, Power Division for domestic projects within the UAE. Project team includes project and site staff of over thirty personnel. Was directly responsible for the project operations and maintaining profitability for projects from concept to completion. Was lead project manager responsible for a 4 Million AED, decommissioning project of 132kV class substation with all accessories at DUBAL. I was lead project manager for 12 Million AED, 33kV class switching station on EPC basis for Dubai Electricity & Water Authority at Dubai & for 38 Million AED, 33kV class cable laying project for Federal Electricity & Water Authority for the Northern Emirates. Responsibilities also included commissioning and contract close out for 21 Million AED, 33 kV class substation for Dubai Electricity & Water Authority at Dubai & 19.8 Million AED, 3 substations 11 kV /3.3 kV class substation, retrofit project site works for DUBAL .I also led the project management team for a 58 Million AED, 3 nos., 33kV/ 11kV substation package project on EPC basis for Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority project for successful completion of the project. Presently I am project lead manager for a 83 Million AED , 1nos. 132/33/11kV substation project on EPC basis for Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority and engineering project lead for 8.1 million AED , transformers replacement project extension package with EGA.

Responsibilities: Contracted scope of works was an EPC contract including civil works for substation, approach road works, supply of capital equipment and miscellaneous material and installation & commissioning of same. Main areas of project responsibility included organizing work flow to monitor project program, provide engineering review and acquire approvals to meet design criteria for all project drawings and documents such as civil, electrical, mechanical etc. from DEWA, Municipality, Civil Defence, FEWA, MOPW etc. in line with contract specifications & statutory regulations. Monitor & negotiate vendor &

subcontractor work progress to deliver customer specific solution including contract close out.

2. Sept. 2004 – Jul 2010 : - Assistant Vice President & Chief Commissioning Manager with M/s ABB (India) Ltd., (PSS) division for all domestic & export live projects within India, Middle East & Africa. Establish and run profit centre for testing and commissioning services. Directly responsible for a turnover of USD 1.15 million for the company. Team includes support staff of thirty six commissioning managers. Range of projects includes Air Insulated Substations, Gas Insulated Substation & Railway Electrification project between 11 kV to 400 kV class. During this time frame I was the lead interface for the commissioning activity of the 1st ever 400/220 kV class Gas Insulated Substation at PGCIL Maharanibaug , around 10 nos. of 2 x 315 MVA ,400/220 kV class substation, more than 75 nos. of 220kV class and below Air Insulated substations all across all across India , Africa & Middle East. Apart from this I was also the lead interface for Railway Electrification for the LINE -3 project at Delhi Metro Railway Corporation.

Successfully completed PROJECT PLANNING, ANALYSIS AND CONTROL program from The George Washington University School of Business under the ABB Project Management Training and Certification Program in CY 07.

Responsibilities: Integrated planning of commissioning activities of all the PSS (TS and DS) projects. Planning of all commissioning resources, internal to ABB as well as outsourced ones. Planning, acquisition and monitoring of Commissioning Tools, Test Equipment ,Accessories .Planning , ordering and tracking of commissioning spares. Training and skill up-gradation of commissioning staff. Preparation and implementation of standard test protocols. Prepare cost estimates for various projects and furnish same to tendering group. Performance evaluation of commissioning staff. Customer interface during various stages of contract. Ensure proper close out of hot commissioning and commissioning related warranty by becoming a dialog partner with end customer.

3. Mar. 2003 - Aug. 2004 :- Project Manager with M/s ABB (India) Ltd. (PTPS –DS) division for a 254 Million Indian Rupees., 132 kV / 33 kV transmission substation project comprising of six green field projects for M/s

RRVPNL, (Rajasthan), India. Scope of works was an EPC contract including civil works for switchyard, control room, approach road works and colony quarters, supply of capital equipment and miscellaneous material and erection and commissioning of same. Team included support staff of six project engineers, six field engineers, and seven major subcontractors.

Responsibilities: Turnaround of this troubled project involved negotiation with vendor and subcontractors, implementation of design criteria to suitably meet contracted agreement and utilizing supply management to optimally deliver. Work flow was optimized to suitably affect project delivery. Areas for cost cutting were identified and implemented.

4. Nov. 2001 – Mar. 2003 :- Assistant Project Manager with M/s ABB (India) Ltd., (UTPS-TS) division for a 91 Million Indian Rupees., 220 kV / 132 kV / 33 kV transmission substation project comprising of six green field and eight extension projects for M/s UPPCL, (Uttar Pradesh), India. Our scope of works involved supply of miscellaneous items and erection and commissioning works of all station. Team included support staff of three project engineers, three field engineers, and two major subcontractors.

Responsibilities: - Providing management with information relating to projected financial and technical difficulties. Coordinating with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations. Administer assigned subcontractors and maintain a continual review of progress and work flow. Representing ABB in contractual discussion of moderate and minor complexity with end customer. Prepare periodic status reports for management and end customer. Responsible for construction coordination with customer and subcontractors. Managing the project within budgeted cost and schedule.

5. Jun. 2000 - Nov. 2001 :- Project Engineer with M/s ABB ( (India) Ltd., THSS Dep’t. for a 440 Million Indian Rupees, 132 kV / 33 kV / 22 kV / 11 kV transmission substation project comprising of twenty green fields project for M/s MSEB Pune(Maharashtra) , India. Scope of works was an EPC contract including supply of capital and miscellaneous items, civil works for switchyard and control room and erection and commissioning of all stations. Team included support staff of four field engineers, four major subcontractors.

Responsibilities: - Liaison with customer for sub-vendor approvals. Coordinate with design personnel to interpret and finalize design criteria within budget and cost. Co- ordinate with customer and vendor for third party inspections at vendor premises. Coordinate estimations for capital equipment and miscellaneous items required for completion for project. Co- ordinate with field personnel for construction activity. Manage dispatches of equipment and material from vendor end to maintain project schedule.

Mar. 1999 – Jun. 2000:- Testing and commissioning manager with M/s ABB (India) Ltd., THSS dep’t. for a 180 Million Indian Rupees 220 kV / 22 kV transmission substation project comprising of three green field projects for M/s MSEB, Mumbai (Maharashtra), India. Managing a support staff of three testing engineers.

Responsibilities: - Documenting detailed pre-commissioning reports and test schedules check list and procedure used during pre-commissioning work. Coordination for site acceptance testing of all products, equipments and protection and control systems related to transmission stations.

7. Mar. 1998 - Mar. 1999 :- Testing and Commissioning Engineer with M/s ABB (India) Ltd., Substation Dep’t. for a 120 Million Indian Rupees. 220 kV / 132 kV receiving station project for M/s Reliance Petroleum Limited, Jamnagar (Gujarat), India.

Responsibilities: - Field testing and commissioning of protection schemes for 220 kV class. Field testing of equipments such as EHV Switch gear, transformer and other related equipment.

8. July 1997 – February 1998 :- Service Engineer and Pre-Commissioning Engineer for M/s Pristine Engineering Services, Andheri, Mumbai (Maharastra), India a partnership firm and service centre for M/s Crompton Greaves India Ltd.
