I love what I do and I never stop learning. In turn, whenever I join a team I end up being the go to person for any technical or design questions. Over the past number of years I have educated myself in Project management, Sustainable Design, LEED Process and Certification, and a wide range of computer software. Moreover, I have lead the efforts to improve the inner workings of the firms I have worked in by developing procedures, templates and checklists to streamline the design and construction administration process. This is in addition to being personally responsible for preparing in-house seminars that pertain to a specific topic. I have given AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Powerpoint, and LEED certification process sessions to my coworkers to educate the team about the subject. With my problem solving mentality, I am blessed with the capability of learning any software in record times.

technologyMr. Shalaby has been very in-tune with the latest technology in the Architectural and Graphics world. He has attended seminars, completed several tutorials in all of the following list of software to increase efficiency and time management. This makes him the “Go To” person for any technical software questions. Additionally, with his teaching experience at the University of Florida, Mr. Shalaby has the ability to transfer his technical knowledge to his coworkers. This allows the teams working under Adel’s supervision to increase the level of productivity and efficiency.

I come from a family of architects, so design runs in my blood. I have been working in the architecture field for over 12 years. In this section of the portfolio, you will find some of my Architectural Projects I have participated in. I have worked on a various scale of projects, from a small kiosk to a over 60,000 square foot interior renovation.

I have selected a few samples of my past projects just to give a general idea of how the finished product looks like. In all the projects that I have worked on, I was always heavily involved with the design and construction team. From interviewing the client and finding their needs, preparing the programming based on the findings, market and code research, space planning, sketching concepts and ideas for the project, sketching architectural details, all the way to preparing and overseeing the construction documents and administration. This provides me with the required knowledge to successfully take the project from it’s conception to completion. Implementing lessons learned on pervious projects is key to the success for anything that follows. AR
