Dear Parishioners , Parents/Guardians , Staff, and Faculty,
After a few weeks of searching for a new principal for Sacred Heart School , we finally have a new principal .
I believe some of you may remember her . She used to teach at Sacred Heart, and she worked here for 5
years . Once you see her walk around , you may recognize her . She is familiar with our community .
With this great news and great joy, I announce to you that Teresa Leon is our new principal . She is a very
active Catholic . She is professional and has excellent communication skills as well as interpersonal skills .
After the interview, the superintendent and Iand two other members of the interview committee felt that
Teresa will be a good role model for our children and also a good leader for Sacred Heart School with her
vision and knowledge .
Now Sacred Heart Schoolis beginning a new chapter, a chapter of a new vision and a new future .

Every volunteer who is involved in the parish or school must have a background check . This is a
requirement of the diocese of Nashville . Please contact the parish office 853-4370 for help in starting the
Catholic Mutual Group's Safe Environment Training which includes a background check at no cost to you or
the parish .The purpose of this background check is to protect our children and volunteers . If you are a
volunteer or think you would like to volunteer at any time in the future, please start this process today . If
you will be driving for any purpose for the parish or school , you will need to complete the Defensive Driving
Course .
All I ask of you is to help me to create a safe and healthy environment for the Sacred Heart
community so our children can be always safe , and everyone can work together with peace of mind .
