Investigation • Aerodynamic Divergence (termed as “Fluttering”)

• dynamic coupling between vertical flapping & torsion modes (sudden occurrence & dependant on IAS).

Protective Measure • EASB 01.00.60

• VNE limit revised to 150 kt• Rate of descent : ≤ 1500 ft/min (beyond 140 kt IAS)

� Digital mockup was performed to quantify improvement for each technical solution:Addition of composite lays, weights addition, etc…..

� Rubber stops solution was cancelled for certification difficulties reason.� Vertical fin size reduction was stopped after non conclusive flight tests performed in July 2012

� Solution selected is based on bonding with seal and Betamate compound: certification planned for August 2013

� Daily inspections concept replaced by 10hrs/7D inspection:• FLM update issued• MET update is in progress, code date 12-26. Pre-Print available� 50hrs inspection interval increased to 100hrs: • Tech Pub update is in progress, code date 12-26. Pre-print available.� 600hrs inspection interval increased to 1200hrs: • Collection data are in progress with 7 customers• New volunteers are welcomed.� 5 400hrs/10Y inspection intervals increased target to 8 000hrs/14Y in standard

atmosphere: • Rules validated with Design Office.• Hoses OTL issue is under investigation.• A/C inspections has started in Feb 2011. Data already available from 7 A/C’s.

� Electrical bonding checks: • New intervals: from 24 to 48 months, available through ETA • Procedures will be introduced through dedicated SB with photos: SB 24-00-29 for N3 and 24.00.10 for 565.

� Overtorque incident work card: • Work card in final process, ETA available in the meantime

� Structural and flight controls behavior survey: • Data collected from 15 A/C inspections: NO NEED for Major Inspection.

• For structural inspections, dedicated SB is in progress for all the fleet: 6 000 and 7 200hrs // 8Y and 10Y or 14Y intervals.

• For flight controls synthesis is still in progress, dedicated SB will be issued:6 000 and 7 200hrs // 8Y and 10Y or 14Y intervals

� Electrical bonding checks: • Data collected of 12 A/C inspections.

• New intervals from 24m to 48m, available through ETA in the mean time.

• Procedures will be introduced by dedicated SB with photos: SB 24-019.

� Mast rotor bearing OTL extension:• From 2500 h to 3300hrs. Performed by interested customers through ETA. Volunteers are welcomed

�Overtorque work card with simplified process and operation was released
