What participants said

FEATURED MODULE FROM THE 2020 ASIALINK LEADERS PROGRAM: Navigating Asia through Disruption

“ A great opportunity to think of innovation, especially during this time of enormous transformation. These presentations have prompted me to consider: is Australia ready for the next wave of economic growth coming from outside China and the Asian Tiger Economies? Is Asia more innovative? Is Australia aware that China, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and India have now given birth to innovative decacorn/ unicorn companies, breeding highly innovative solutions and business models, leveraging the latest technology? We must not get left behind, but ensure we collaborate with Asia.”

- Christopher Kristian, Manager (Clients & Markets), Deals Tax & Legal

Through this exceptional series that was delivered for the Leaders 2020 Program, Asialink Leaders met three globally recognised experts - Dr Parag Khanna (Managing Partner at FutureMap), Sue MacLeman (Chair of MTPConnect) and Scott D. Anthony (Senior Partner at Innosight) - who shared their unique insights on supply chain disruption, digital futures and innovation opportunities during this period of rapid change.

To tailor the program to our Leaders’ interests and priorities, we also gathered their own perspectives on supply chain fragility and how they have overcome challenges in their roles by uncovering new solutions and opportunities. They were further encouraged to predict what future disruption may look like within their own organisations and industries.

“ Parag delivered such a well-structured, fantastic session. I was so impressed by his insights on the outlook for Asia beyond China, impacts of AI applying industries and implications to Australia. Parag has provided a great vision for us to look at Asia and how Australia positions to take advantage of opportunities to engage with Asian countries.”

- Janey Chu, Business Development Officer/Project Manager - Economic Development and International, City of Melbourne

“ Sue’s presentation was excellent, and it was especially valuable to hear about the on-the-ground response to COVID-19, working with government and industry. I liked the idea of thinking global from day one, even in basic research phases. I was left with more optimism than I expected after she shared her insights and experiences. Thanks again for such an interesting session.”

- Lauren Smith, Strategic Communications Adviser, The University of Melbourne

“ This was one of the best presentations I have seen in a long time. Scott is obviously a deep subject matter expert in his field, and provided compelling examples of innovation that is happening in Asia in many of our sectors, right now.”

- Craig Dower, CEO, QANTM Intellectual Property Limited
