Nature of Task:

Complete all of the Assessment Activities outlined in the eBook “Mapping the Environment” publication which are then submitted as a PowerPoint or Word document electronically.

To successfully engage and complete this assessment student will be required to:

• Complete each question and activity in full. With accuracy and detail.

• Organise their presentation in a clear, imaginative and logical manner.

• Correct and full referencing when needed.

Other Information:

Students will be assessed on the following attributes within their Research Project:

- Consistency between all sections of the task and relevance of information regarding each artist and their works.

- Demonstrates a developed ability to organise, develop and express ideas and research using Art appropriate language appropriate to audience, purpose and context.

- Presentation is sophisticated and technically thorough. Media used has been carefully manipulated and the plan of the presentation has been well thought out and has a clear introduction, body and conclusion.

NB although information is supplied in eBook you may need to conduct extra external research in order complete some sections.

Outcomes Assessed: 4.7 explores aspects of practice in critical and historical interpretations of art 4.8 explores the function of and relationships between the artist – artwork – world – audience 4.9 begins to acknowledge that art can be interpreted from different points of view 4.10 recognises that art criticism and art history construct meanings

Answers are clearly expressed and easily read. using Art terminology appropriate to audience, purpose and context.

Presentation is put together in a clear format and is technically accomplished. The chosen media used has been carefully considered and the plan of the presentation has been well thought out. Answers are clearly expressed and easily read. using Art terminology appropriate to audience, purpose and context.
